But, some players appear to have soured on the update upon realizing that they can&#8217;t actually explore Cayo Perico.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/grand-theft-auto-online-manhunt-arcade-game\/\">Grand Theft Auto Online Leaks Manhunt Arcade Game<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For whatever reason, players can not freely roam the island and it is only accessible when taking part in the heist missions. To be fair to Rockstar, it never explicitly said that such a feature would be included, but this information has only been revealed upon playing the new update.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Rockstar hasn&#8217;t stated why this is, though some theorize that it could be to prevent griefing (where players deliberately harass others and spoil their gameplay sessions in-game) or so it wouldn&#8217;t have to split its player-base across two different maps.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the reason,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/grand-theft-auto-online\/\">Grand Theft Auto Online<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>players\u00a0are expressing their disappointment on social media. It&#8217;s always possible that Rockstar will make the island fully explorable at a later date, but it hasn&#8217;t officially confirmed that and is merely a hope at this point.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GypsytheScumbag\/status\/1338837784342261760\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sagar_gangadkar\/status\/1338808737985949696\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Following this new update, it almost feels like the player-base is becoming more and more divided over its feelings towards the game. While there are still plenty who are continuing to enjoy it for what it is, as well as the new content, others have been losing interest (<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/grand-theft-auto-online-flop-shroud\/\">Twitch streamer Shroud<\/a> even considers it to be a flop) and would much rather see\u00a0<em>Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Though it hasn&#8217;t been officially confirmed, everyone knows that\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/everything-we-know-grand-theft-auto-6\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grand Theft Auto 6<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>will be a thing and is likely being worked on right now.
