This update adds new\u00a0content, and\u00a0upgrades different visual and gameplay elements in this battle royale shooter.<\/p>\n<p><em>Virtual Battlegrounds<\/em>,\u00a0which released in April 2020, plays like many of the other battle royale games on the market. Players land on an island, and fight amongst 24 other players in order to be the last one standing.\u00a0One of the unique aspects of\u00a0<em>Virtual Battlegrounds<\/em>\u00a0is that it\u00a0was built from the ground up for VR. Now, virtual reality has been around for several years, but research anticipates even more gamers <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/virtual-reality-users-45-million-2025\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">getting into VR over the next few years<\/a>. CyberDream&#8217;s battle royale is poised to be a\u00a0worthwhile addition to the overall VR catalogue, especially if they plan to keep releasing updates like those for Season Two.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demeo-announcement-trailer\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VR RPG Game Demeo Gets First Trailer<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Possibly the biggest addition to Season Two is the expansion of the map with the new Warehouse District. It&#8217;s the biggest location in the game so far, and aims to give players the\u00a0freedom to strategize in new ways around the ziplines, store rooms, and storage containers that are prevalent in the area. Adding another strategic layer to the gameplay is the addition of the pump shotgun for close-quarters combat. This weapon incorporates a new gun handling system that factors in\u00a0bullet spray, pumpable rounds, and loadable shells. Season Two also adds dynamic weather for each match which could now feature sunny days, night skirmish under the moonlight, in thunderstorms,\u00a0or in\u00a0other weather patterns.<\/p>\n<p>The Season Two update also enhances the vegetation in the game. There is a new lobby system to help players get into\u00a0matches faster and easier, along with improved practice ranges. Plus, players will notice\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/medal-of-honor-above-and-beyond-launch-bug-fix-patch\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the standard\u00a0bug fixes<\/a>, game optimizations, and other small design changes that come with game updates. Players can catch a bigger glimpse in the trailer below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/C8Gj-cyFyKQ\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:1280;height:720;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Season Two of<em> Virtual Battlegrounds<\/em>\u00a0aims to satisfy existing players, while enticing newcomers to try out the game.\u00a0Hopefully, any new players to\u00a0<em>Virtual Battlegrounds\u00a0<\/em>won&#8217;t have to deal with possible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/vr-cybersickness-nausea-study-predict\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cybersickness caused from VR games<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Both VR games and battle royale games have made a lasting impact on the gaming industry, and it doesn&#8217;t look like either genre will go away any time soon. Especially now that former <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/forevr-vr-studio-zynga-veterans-2021\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zynga developers are creating a new VR-focused studio<\/a>, gaming fans can expect to see continual growth for virtual reality.
