No More Heroes<\/em> may not be as big of a mainstream franchise as others, but for a series mostly only available on Nintendo platforms it has done very well. The oddity of the action series has garnered it a cult following, but wider access to each individual game would go a long way. Luckily, that seems to now be happening. The ESRB, the United States’ game ratings board<\/a>, appears to have just rated both No More Heroes<\/em><\/strong> and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle<\/em><\/strong> for the the PC.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing special to the leak, which may be boring. But that makes the leak all the more reliable in the end. Both No More Heroes<\/em> and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle<\/em><\/a> now have official ESBR ratings for the PC on the ESRB’s website. They’ve both been rated M for Mature 17+ and they’ve both been flagged for “Blood and Gore,” “Intense Violence,” “Sexual Themes,” and “Strong Language.” No More Heroes 2<\/em> also has an extra flag for “Partial Nudity.”<\/p>\n

Suffice to say, there’s no reason to believe that these ratings have been faked or are tied to a fake submission. Marvelous Inc. appears ready to announce and release PC ports of both No More Heroes<\/em> and No More Heroes 2<\/em><\/a> at any time. That Marvelous has yet to announce the PC ports does add some drama to the situation. These games could be released next week or they could be held onto for months before being published. It’s also possible Marvelous will just sit on them, though that seems unlikely.<\/p>\n
