That connection hasn&#8217;t faded over the years, as the game continues to be mentioned and seen throughout each season and the actors from the show appear on various live plays to help promote both the tabletop RPG and their own projects. The latest crossover brings four fan-favorite actors from Stranger Things around a virtual table to play through <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dungeons-dragons-icewind-dale\/\">a holiday-themed adventure in Icewind Dale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The adventure brings\u00a0David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler),\u00a0Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) to the table and the session if DM&#8217;d by a face that will be very familiar to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/dungeons-and-dragons\/\"><em>Dungeons and Dragons<\/em><\/a> fans,\u00a0Principle Game Designer Chris Perkins. Some fans have already noted the irony of Will (Noah Schnapp), who is begging to play DnD through most of the last season, being absent from this game with his friends and co-stars. The one-shot, entitled Toy Time for Ten-Towns, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/stranger-things-dungeons-dragons-one-shot\/\">takes the <em>Stranger Things<\/em> cast up north<\/a> where everything from the weather to the shady figure in the corner of the bar can be a deadly obstacle.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/field-notes-5e-character-journal-hands-impressions\/\">Field Notes 5e Character Journal Hands-On Impressions<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chris Perkins has had a lot of experience DMing for celebrities thanks to other <em>DnD<\/em> events and he is clearly comfortable in the role here. The cast also includes some natural players and big personalities, which makes the group a lot of fun to watch. The live play aired this week on the <em>Stranger Things<\/em> YouTube channel and is now available to watch the full way through. The entire adventure comes in just over two hours and is well worth binging right here&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/b7-vlUdoVAE\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:480;height:360;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There is still no official release date for Stranger Things season four yet, so this may be the only chance to see fresh content from this cast for the next few months. A <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/stranger-things-season-4-trailer-reveals\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stranger Things season four teaser trailer<\/a> was released earlier this year, but it seems likely that the content won&#8217;t drop on Netflix until late 2021. The show has a history of releasing in October, sometime near Halloween, so some fans are betting that will be the case again, although Netflix has not confirmed that speculation.<\/p>\n<p>If the setting of Ten Towns seems interesting to any viewers, then they may want to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dungeons-dragons-icewind-dale-rime-frostmaiden-review\/\">check out Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden<\/a> and find a group of players to work through the massive campaign with.
