Some Call of Duty<\/em> fans\u00a0were disappointed when they found out that fan-favorite character John \u201cSoap\u201d MacTavish was absent from the 2019 reboot of\u00a0Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em>. The good news is it looks like he may be making his way to Call of Duty: Warzone<\/b><\/em>\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty<\/em> introduced players to Sgt. \u201cSoap\u201d MacTavish in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare<\/em>. The newest member of Capt. Price\u2019s squad of British SAS commandos, he was one of the main characters of the original Modern Warfare<\/em> trilogy. Activision teased his return during the 2019 reboot, although he never appeared in-game. However, a recent leak indicates he may soon be playable thanks to the Soap Operator<\/em> Bundle<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Soap has been mostly absent from the Call of Duty<\/i> series since Modern Warfare 3<\/i> in 2011. He received a brief mention in the Modern Warfare<\/i> reboot but has yet to appear on screen. He\u2019s popped up in DLC packs and spinoffs like Call of Duty: Mobile<\/i>, but it\u2019s been nearly a decade since Soap played a vital role in the main series. His likely addition as a playable operator in Warzone<\/i> is expected to get the attention of series fans.<\/p>\n

The bundle will likely be part of the Season One Battle Pass<\/a> for Call of Duty: Back Ops Cold War<\/em> and Warzone<\/em>. According to the leak, it will cost 2,400 COD points and include new skins, three new weapons, a new charm, a finishing move, a calling card, an emblem, and a spray. It will also feature a new operator mission that unlocks two alternate skins. It\u2019s too early to guess at specifics, but it looks like Soap is gearing up for some alpine combat.<\/p>\n

If the leak is credible, the Soap Operator Bundle<\/em> will be the latest addition to the Call of Duty:<\/span><\/em> Warzone<\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0battle royale mode. Players can access Warzone <\/em>through Modern Warfare<\/em><\/a> and Black Ops Cold War, <\/em>and it features weapons characters from both. It is also available as a stand-alone free-to-play battle royale.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, fans will be pleased to get back in control of everyone\u2019s favorite mohawked Scotsman. His presence in spinoffs and add-on\u2019s is nothing new, but if confirmed, his inclusion in Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>\u2019s shared world might be a sign of something bigger. If he also returns to<\/span> Modern Warfare<\/em><\/a>, it could indicate that Activision has something big in mind for the future. For now, though, Call of Duty<\/em> players will have to be content with the possibility of Soap\u2019s Warzone<\/i> comeback.<\/p>\n
