Thankfully, finishing\u00a0the main campaign of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla<\/strong><\/em> doesn’t mean\u00a0fans are finished\u00a0with the game as a whole.\u00a0There are lots of things to do after beating\u00a0Assassin’s Creed Valhalla<\/em><\/a>, including some that may feel just as momentous as beating the game itself.<\/p>\n

Valhalla<\/em>‘s plot has quite a bit of content, it’s true, but not\u00a0all of the game’s content is packed into its main story. In fact, Ubisoft made\u00a0a good deal of the game’s content completely optional next to the main plot, meaning that once Eivor completes\u00a0her journey, there are other journeys waiting just around the corner.<\/p>\n

In order for Eivor’s settlement, Ravensthorpe<\/a>, to reach its final evolution, players will have to go “a-Viking,” as they say. There aren’t enough raw materials just hanging out in the world (or gained through pledges) to complete the settlement, and even when all of the buildings have been erected, that’s not the end of the upgrades.<\/p>\n

So, players should keep an eye out for the optional monasteries spread throughout the world of Assassin’s Creed<\/em>\u00a0Valhalla<\/em><\/a>, as plenty of them aren’t touched by the main campaign, and players must take some initiative and raid them. Once enough raw materials have been gathered, players are also able to upgrade a few of the settlement’s buildings more than once.\u00a0The Cattle Farm, Grain Farm, and Fowl Farm all have several rounds of upgrades available after construction, and completing those will improve the Morale Boost buff that results from throwing a feast.<\/p>\n

Or, in other words, collect all of the wealth across the four kingdoms of England (and Norway). Going out of the way to collect armor pieces in AC Valhalla<\/em><\/a>, weapons, ingots, and metals is the only way for players to have the coolest armor sets in the game and max them out to their most upgraded state. There are quite a few armor sets to collect throughout\u00a0Valhalla<\/em>, each comprised of a chest-piece, breeches, bracers, a cloak, and a headpiece.<\/p>\n

So, for completionists, there’s only one thing to do: collect them all and upgrade the favorite sets using the other wealth found out there in the world. To\u00a0make Eivor the biggest, baddest Viking of them all, great armor and weapons are just part of the deal.<\/p>\n

Chances are, most players won’t have completed every world event in the game before they reach AC Valhalla<\/em>‘s endgame<\/a>. There are a\u00a0lot<\/em> of isolated world events in every single region of the game, so getting to each of them is quite the task. Once the main campaign is complete, however, and Eivor’s schedule clears up a bit, why not go out and see what the world of\u00a0Valhalla<\/em> has to offer? The blue dots on the world map indicate a world event, and\u00a0they’re pretty fun to uncover. Some of them are comedic, others dramatic, and some are just good for the XP boost. Regardless, they’re quite entertaining to complete, and the lengthy task of finishing them all will keep players occupied for a good long while.<\/p>\n

For those still trying to get Eivor to go from great to legendary<\/a>, then unlocking\u00a0every skill available on\u00a0Valhalla<\/em>‘s skill tree is a good step. It’s entirely possible to select every one of them for Eivor’s arsenal, provided they reach a power level of 340. And getting to 340 isn’t really\u00a0that<\/em> hard, as the main campaign already gets Eivor up into the 200s, and completing additional world events after the main campaign will most definitely give Eivor the final boost that they need to level up all the way.<\/p>\n

Players can also choose to collect\u00a0everything<\/em>. In addition to wealth and world events, each area of the game map features unique collectable items for Eivor to seek out. Quite a few of those collectables are Roman artifacts scattered across England, and delivering them to the museum in Ravensthorpe will please its curator immensely. Besides the museum, there’s also the matter of collecting codex pages for Hytham at the Hidden Ones Bureau which will also net some XP<\/a> and some interesting reads for Eivor that add to the lore of the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the Order of the Ancients<\/a>, there’s the matter of the Order menu screen filled with potential marks for Eivor to seek out in AC Valhalla<\/em>. Some of them will be encountered naturally as the game’s main campaign progresses, but certainly not all of them. Others will need to be hunted down separately to get\u00a0all<\/em> the answers that players (and Eivor) are surely looking for.\u00a0Each Order member kill comes with a cutscene where Eivor discovers that member’s role and intentions within the Order. Then, there’s the leader of the entire Order – who is\u00a0not<\/em> revealed by beating the main campaign.<\/p>\n

Uncovering the Order’s leader will require additional legwork, and it’s worth the effort: Eivor uncovers quite a bit of information and lore during this secondary ending, including information about the future Templar Order<\/a>. Not only that, but it’s just plain satisfying to cross out every mark on the extensive Order menu. In all, there are 45 different Order members to hunt and kill throughout Assassin’s Creed\u00a0Valhalla<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Finally, there’s the matter of future DLC for\u00a0Assassin’s Creed Valhalla<\/em><\/a>. The roadmap for Valhalla<\/em> includes two larger pieces of DLC content,\u00a0Wrath of the Druids<\/em> and\u00a0The Siege of Paris<\/em>, along with at least four other free content drops.\u00a0Those who plan on playing those DLC\u00a0will want to consider getting all of Eivor’s ducks in a row first, so to speak.<\/p>\n

The status of Eivor’s gear, power level, personal wealth, and upgrades will all play a factor in upcoming DLC, as that’s pretty much unavoidable. To make sure it’s smooth sailing as much as possible when the DLC release, players should consider saving up a good chunk of silver and upgrade materials to use on\u00a0whatever gear comes in the DLC,\u00a0and have good armor to start out with.\u00a0Wrath of the Druids<\/em><\/a> is set to drop first in spring 2021, so players have a little bit of time.<\/p>\n
