The Dawning event has returned to Destiny 2<\/strong><\/em> this month, giving players a chance to cook up some holiday treats. Although the\u00a0Christmas event has returned a few times to Bungie’s sci-fi looter-shooter, it’s been a little different each year. In 2020 Destiny 2<\/a><\/em> players will be able to\u00a0get their hands on new cosmetics, ships and a legendary rifle.<\/p>\n

Just like last year, players will spend most of the\u00a0The Dawning grinding ingredients<\/a> and baking cookies. The treats may be festive, but to get the ingredients players will have to go on more than a couple killing sprees. Different types of enemies and different types of kills all reward different ingredients, so it’s worth knowing what the options are. One of the most crucial ingredients is the Flash of Inspiration, which appears in\u00a0two important recipes.<\/p>\n

The good news for players who want to grind Flash of Inspiration is that it can be found anywhere there are enemies to kill in Destiny 2<\/em><\/a>. Doesn’t matter which race or species they are, all players need to do is find something that’s trying to kill them. To earn the ingredient, players must\u00a0defeat enemies using their Super ability. These abilities vary from class to class and element to element, but they almost all have one thing in common: They’re great at tearing\u00a0apart enemies.<\/p>\n

Any Destiny 2<\/em> player should be familiar with the showy Supers, and how deadly they can be in the right situation. Supers recharge slowly between uses, but can be sped up with kills. In addition, when an enemy is defeated by a Super, they drop Orbs of Light that can be picked up by other players in order to charge up their own Super Abilities. During The Dawning event<\/a>, creating Orbs of Light is enough to earn the Flash of Inspiration ingredient.<\/p>\n

Although the Flash of Inspiration can only be earned through farming Orbs of Light<\/a>, each Orb doesn’t guarantee a player will get the ingredient. Players may need to kill quite a few of Destiny 2<\/em>‘s enemies with their Super before a Flash of Inspiration will drop.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the best way to grind the Flash of Inspiration ingredient is in Destiny 2<\/em>‘s many Public Events<\/a>. These events often have\u00a0lots of players around, generating their own Orbs of Light to let everyone Super more often. In addition, players can also rally to the flag in order to quickly restore their Super meter.<\/p>\n
