While some fans were impressed with the new gameplay mechanics on display, others were disappointed by\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em>&#8216;s graphics, expecting it to be a showcase for what the Xbox Series X console was capable of. This has led to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/halo-infinite-xbox-one-cancellation-fan-demand\/\">some fans trying to get the Xbox One version of\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> canceled<\/a> so that it won&#8217;t &#8220;hold back&#8221; the next-gen version, with demands intensifying after the disastrous\u00a0<em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> cross-gen launch.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft has made no indication that it plans on dropping the Xbox One version of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/halo-infinite\/\"><em>Halo Infinite<\/em><\/a>. On the contrary, Microsoft has made a firm commitment to support the Xbox One for the foreseeable future, with many of its upcoming exclusive games being developed for both it and Series X\/S. However, a 343 Industries developer&#8217;s LinkedIn profile has led to some speculation that the Xbox One version of\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> may be canceled after all.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/halo-infinite-pay-to-win-microtransactions\/\">Halo Infinite Will Not Have &#8216;Pay-to-Win&#8217; Microtransactions<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The LinkedIn profile for\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> UI Art Lead Chad Mirshak states that he is working on\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> for PC and Xbox Series X, with no mention of the Xbox One version. This has led some to think that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/halo-infinite-xbox-one-cancel-series-x\/\"><em>Halo Infininte<\/em> on Xbox One has been canceled<\/a>, though there is no further evidence supporting that claim. And as pointed out by PureXbox, it&#8217;s quite possible that the PC\/Xbox Series X versions of the game are being handled by a different team than the Xbox One version, which would explain the discrepancy.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeMiller101\/status\/1341336489414828032\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Unlike most other video game developers and publishers, 343 Industries is usually pretty quick when it comes to addressing rumors. Prior to these rumors that\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> on Xbox One has been canceled, there were rumors swirling that the game would feature a battle royale mode of some kind. 343 has denied the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/halo-infinite-battle-royale-rumor\/\"><em>Halo Infinite<\/em> battle royale rumors<\/a> on more than one occasion, and it has also denied rumors surrounding the game&#8217;s release date as well.<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/343-industries-discontinue-support-halo-xbox-360\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">343 Industries<\/a> has previously denied rumors of\u00a0<em>Halo Infinite<\/em> on Xbox One being canceled. This past summer, similar rumors started spreading that development on the Xbox One version of the game had been abandoned so the development team could focus on optimizing it for Xbox Series X, only for those rumors to be shot down by 343.
