The iconic slayer in a hockey mask has terrorized Camp Crystal Lake, Manhattan, space, and even Hell in his unquenchable thirst for vengeance.<\/p>\n<p>Of all the actors to embody Jason, Kane Hodder has reprised the role in four films:\u00a0<em>Friday<\/em> <em>the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, <\/em>and <em>Jason X<\/em>.\u00a0He also provided motion capture for the character in\u00a02017\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dead-by-daylight-asymetrical-horror-game-best-worst\/\">asymmetrical multiplayer horror title<\/a> <em>Friday the 13th: The Game.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/devotion-gog-release-cancellation\/\">GOG Changes Its Mind About Releasing Horror Game Devotion<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a recent video filmed for a fan using the Cameo app, Hodder revealed that he may be starring in another video game. \u201cI\u2019m currently doing a new video game, another horror franchise, that I can\u2019t talk about yet. But you\u2019ll see it eventually,\u201d the actor teases from his kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>From the statement, it\u2019s clear that Hodder will not be appearing in another <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-ps4-xbox-one-horror-games-friday-the-13th\/\"><em>Friday the 13th <\/em>game<\/a> as Jason, but rather a new franchise altogether. Unfortunately, Hodder provides no clue as to what that series might be, and there&#8217;s no indication whether it\u2019s a new horror game franchise, the continuation of an existing one, or the video game adaptation of a popular horror film.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MkiJod0NO7U\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:1280;height:720;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Friday the 13th: The Game <\/em>allowed Hodder to don Jason\u2019s mask again for the first time in 17 years, the last film he starred in having released in 2002. The Michael Bay-produced 2009 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/donal-logue-resident-evil-movie-reboot\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reboot of the series<\/a> replaced Hodder with a new actor as Jason, but for many fans Hodder has come to represent the supernatural slayer because he held the role for so many years. For this reason, many were excited to hear Hodder would be recording the motion capture sequences for Jason in the game.<\/p>\n<p>A number of actors from the <em>Friday the 13th <\/em>films made a return for the game. Thom Mathews, who played Tommy Jarvis in <em>Jason Lives, <\/em>reprised his role in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/friday-the-13th\/\"><em>Friday the 13th: The Game<\/em><\/a>, and the in-game character was modeled after Tommy\u2019s appearance in that film. Larry Zerner, <em>Part III\u2019s <\/em>Shelly, returned to the role when that character was added to the game a few months after release.
