Creepy Jar\u2019s 2019 survival game Green Hell <\/em><\/strong>tosses players into the heart of the Amazon rainforest<\/a> with little more than a smartwatch and common sense to make it out alive. With a current user score of 7.9 on Metacritic and a \u201cvery positive\u201d rating on Steam, the game provides players with an intense survival experience with a strong storyline.<\/p>\n

Now Green Hell, <\/em>which has sold over a million copies, is in development for VR\u00a0according to a press release. It will be adapted from its original first-person view by Incuvo, a European development studio that specializes in VR games<\/a>. The team, which worked on the VR adaptations of Layers of Fear <\/em>and Blair Witch, <\/em>focuses on finding a balance between a title\u2019s gameplay and established VR practices in order to create a high level of immersion, according to the release.<\/p>\n

The pre-production stages of the\u00a0virtual reality<\/a> adaptation of Green Hell <\/em>have already been completed. The development team at Incuvo is currently on the alpha version, which will release a few months before the game\u2019s official launch in Q3 of 2021 on PCVR and later on Oculus Quest.<\/p>\n

In Green Hell<\/a>, <\/em>players take on the role of Jake Higgins, an anthropologist and researcher who awakens in the heart of the Amazon with no memory of how he got there. He has no supplies and must immediately set out to uncover the mystery behind his situation while fighting to stay alive despite the ever-present threats of hunger, thirst, and nature. He soon discovers methods to hunt animals for food, find clean water to drink, heal his wounds, build shelters, and defend himself against often deadly wildlife.<\/p>\n

Green Hell <\/em><\/strong>is available on PC and will be released in VR in 2021.<\/p>\n
