No more will fans have to choose between playing video games and having warm chicken. Clearly, the KFConsole is an invention everyone needed. And while the KFConsole is just a viral marketing stunt, Intel is adamant that it\u2019s a real and fully functional product.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-title\"><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rumor-intels-11th-gen-core-cpu-launch-date-revealed\/\">Rumor: Intel&#8217;s 11th Gen Core CPU Launch Date Revealed<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This marvel of engineering was announced on Twitter by Mark Walton, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/new-leak-suggests-intels-rocket-lake-cpus-can-compete-ryzen-5000-series\/\">a member of Intel\u2019s PR department<\/a>. Cooler Master, a company specializing in high-end PC cooling systems, was responsible for the unique piece of hardware. Typically, Cooler Master\u2019s products focus on absorbing or dispersing heat. Still, it was only a matter of time before it found a way to channel that heat into a useful purpose, though useful might be a strong word in this instance. Nonetheless, the company has channeled it for an amusing purpose.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/markalexwalton\/status\/1341430877356765185\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For those thinking Cooler Master just crammed an oven in there, it\u2019s a bit more complicated than that. Designed by Swedish hardware modder TimePlay, the console <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/intels-i9-11900k-cpu-details-leak\/\">redirects heat from the CPU<\/a> and other hardware directly into the specially designed chicken chamber.<\/p>\n<p>As for the specs, the KFConsole is powered by an Intel Nuc 9 extreme compute element. Intel designed these mini-PC\u2019s to be installed inside a larger gaming PC. However, stand-alone Nuc 9 PCs do exist and are reasonably powerful. Intel\u2019s stand-alone \u201cGhost Canyon\u201d Nuc 9 offers similar performance to many <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-gaming-laptop-review\/\">high-end gaming laptops<\/a>. Augmenting the Nuc 9\u2019s built-in hardware are two BarraCuda 1TB SSD cards and a swappable GPU. The KFConsole will come with an unspecified ASUS GPU out of the box.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its amusing purpose, The KFConsole, assuming it launches, would likely be able to handle most modern AAA titles. Also, it has a heated compartment for the storage of fried chicken. The only question becomes how much customers are willing to pay for a clever gimmick.<\/p>\n<p>While KFC and Cooler Master have yet to confirm the new console\u2019s price, a Nuc 9 kit retails at $1000 or more depending on the model. While that\u2019s not unheard of for a gaming PC, it\u2019s still a machine whose main selling point is a chicken heater. That\u2019s assuming the KFConsole is real, and this whole thing isn\u2019t just an elaborate joke.
