Developer Rockstar Games recently brought\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/red-dead-online-bounty-hunter-fan-reactions\/\">weekly Bounty Hunter updates<\/a> to its stable of games that saw the arrival of seasonal music and snow.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/red-dead-online\/\"><em>Read Dead Online<\/em><\/a>, the weekly update also brought a new outlaw to hunt\u00a0and the ability to trudge through the snow to find a new Moonshine Shack. Inside this shack, holiday music with an emphasis on the banjo can be heard playing. The small shack also is furnished and decked out in holiday flair for players to enjoy as well.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rockstar-red-dead-online-tips-gang-hideouts\/\">Red Dead Online: 10 Tips For Taking Down Gang Hideouts<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/red-dead-online-gta-online-christmas-events\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">holiday themed\u00a0<em>Red Dead Online<\/em> bounty hunter update<\/a> also included a variety of new weapons players can unlock. Players can get a new skin for the Repeater and some Reddit users believe there&#8217;s a way to get the Krampus shotgun from\u00a0last year&#8217;s\u00a0holiday update. Because players will be carrying out their latest hunt in the snow, Rockstar is providing players with a free in-game coat.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pDo5E3_I8Xo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:480;height:360;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>All of those additions to the standalone game that used to be just <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/red-dead-redemption-2-ps4-playstation-store-sale\/\">another mode for <em>Red Dead Redemption 2<\/em><\/a> are secondary to the players&#8217; target for this week. They&#8217;ll hunt &#8220;Shepherd&#8221; Virgil Edwards. Edwards is the leader of a sect cult who believes humanity is about to face its final reckoning. It appears Shepherd didn&#8217;t just lead his followers down a religious path but pulled off quite a few heinous crimes inside the world of <em>Red Dead Online<\/em>. Those crimes were enough to generate a bounty.<\/p>\n<p>In order to track down their latest target, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/red-dead-online-standalone-version-bounty-hunters-update-available-now\/\"><em>Red Dead Online<\/em> players need to travel to Roanoke Ridge<\/a>. In that location, hunters have to talk to members of the doomsday cult. There are several different campsites that need a visit in order to piece together the puzzle of where their target is hiding. Some <em>Red Dead<\/em> players were expecting the weekly update so close to Christmas would include more of a holiday theme. It appears Rockstar skirted someone who steals present as the target, for the music and timely decorations instead.<\/p>\n<p>The weekly update and hunt is just the latest addition to the new standalone game that Rockstar has billed as growing in popularity because of its customization options. Those options can even include players dressing their <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/red-dead-online-standalone-version-bounty-hunters-update-available-now\/\"><em>Red Dead Online<\/em> characters up as iconic\u00a0<em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Rogue<\/em>\u00a0figure<\/a>, Shay Cormac if they feel the itch.
