However, it turns out acting wasn\u2019t always Isaac&#8217;s only passion, and the internet never really forgets anything.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/moon-knight-movie-oscar-isaac-disney\/\">Disney Wants Oscar Isaac for Moon Knight Show<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As one crafty Twitter user recently pointed out, back in the late \u201990s to early 2000s, Isaac was quite busy trying to make it as a musician when he played lead guitar and sang for the Miami-based ska-punk band The Blinking Underdogs. Though there\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dAHBbLDqoRI&amp;feature=youtu.be\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">very little footage of the band\u2019s performances<\/a>, the group did play as an opening act for bands like Green Day\u00a0and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/handsome_pal\/status\/1340882207288643584?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Isaac stayed with The Blinking Underdogs at least until 2001 when he was accepted into Juilliard\u2019s acting school in New York, a move that was definitely vindicated over time for the next two decades. As far as his look during his time as a musician, he very much looks the same, albeit younger and edgier, just like one would expect for the frontman of a ska band.<\/p>\n<p>A long time has passed since then, but Isaac is still somewhat close to music as he one of his early breakout roles was playing a struggling <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/movie-cats-the-different-kinds\/\">folk singer in <em>Inside Llewyn Davis<\/em><\/a>, for which he received critical acclaim in his performance.
