Although\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time-remake-trailer-ubisoft-forward\/\"><em>Prince of Persia\u00a0<\/em>remake was\u00a0initially announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One<\/a>, a leak coming directly from Ubisoft has revealed that there is probably going to be a Switch version as well.<\/p>\n<p>Ubisoft has been infamously leaking quite a bit of information as of late, with\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time\/\">Prince of Persia: Sands of Time<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>being one of many coming through lately. Especially when it comes to Switch versions, fans have learned a lot from simply prowling the Ubisoft store pages.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a class=\"bc-title-link\" title=\"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Delayed to March 2021\" href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time-remake-delayed-march-2021\/\">Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Delayed to March 2021<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The leak was discovered by Reddit user NayamAmarshe, who shared the information with others on GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit. They shared the link to the page that, at the time of writing, still hasn&#8217;t been <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/immortals-fenyx-rising-release-date-leak\/\">updated or changed by Ubisoft<\/a>, but also took a screenshot of it just in case it does get modified.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/GamingLeaksAndRumours\/comments\/kiv6ui\/sands_of_time_remakes_switch_version_appeared_on\/\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As viewers can clearly see, Switch is listed as the fourth and final option for platforms for players that want to pre-order the game. It&#8217;s worth noting that selecting Switch causes the price to change from the actual $39.99 price tag to a notice simply saying &#8220;Out of Stock,&#8221; but that doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean that a Switch version won&#8217;t release eventually. There&#8217;s been no word from Ubisoft on this leak confirming or denying its legitimacy, but leaks such as these have been fairly accurate in the past so fans have high hopes. There have also been <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time-remake-switch\/\">other retailers that listed a Switch version of\u00a0<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time-remake-switch\/\">Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>so it seems even more credible.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/prince-of-persia-remake-switich-incorrect\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overwhelming evidence of <em>Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time\u00a0<\/em>coming to Switch<\/a>, this still shouldn&#8217;t be taken as complete confirmation of a Switch version, as anything can change between now and when the game releases. It&#8217;s possible that this was just a technical error, causing the website to show a Switch version even though there is none available or planned. It could also be that the Switch version is in the works but won&#8217;t be releasing at the same time as the rest of the platforms, so really, it&#8217;s still anyone&#8217;s guess as to whether it will happen or not.<\/p>\n<p>This would certainly be nice to see, though, as gaming on the Switch offers a much more convenient and portable experience than other platforms. It may not have the same raw power as the PS4, Xbox One, or next generation consoles, but its utility will likely keep it relevant for years to come.
