Ever since DLC characters were first introduced to the series in\u00a0Super Smash Bros. <\/em>for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, rumors and speculation have run rampant<\/a> among\u00a0Smash<\/em> fans, and\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/strong><\/em> has been no exception. The game has added some of the series’ most fan-requested characters as DLC fighters, such as\u00a0Banjo &\u00a0Kazooie, Steve from\u00a0Minecraft<\/em>, and most recently, Sephiroth from\u00a0Final Fantasy 7<\/em>.<\/p>\n

With\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/a><\/em>‘s second Fighters Pass just reaching its halfway point upon Sephiroth’s release, there are still 3 more empty slots on the game’s roster waiting to be filled. Although supposed leakers and industry insiders are\u00a0closely watched when it comes to\u00a0Smash<\/em>, there is one forum post that has recently caught the attention of the community.<\/p>\n

The forum 4chan has become notorious for serving as a grounds for video game leaks, especially when it comes to Super Smash Bros<\/em><\/a>.<\/i>\u00a0Now, a 4chan post made\u00a0in May of 2020 is picking up steam for accurately predicting the first 3 fighters that have since released in\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>‘s second Fighters Pass – Min Min, Steve, and Sephiroth.<\/p>\n

With 4chan being\u00a0an anonymous message board, there is currently no way to judge the validity of the post, but\u00a0assuming this prediction holds weight, it may tell players who their next\u00a03 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate\u00a0<\/em>DLC fighters are. In addition to correctly predicting the first 3 characters included in\u00a0the game’s second Fighters Pass\u00a0prior to Min Min’s June 29 release date, an anonymous user predicted that the remaining DLC fighters will be\u00a0Ryu Hayabusa from\u00a0Ninja Gaiden<\/em>,\u00a0Doomguy from\u00a0Doom<\/em>, and Rayman. It is worth noting that while the anonymous user predicted both Min Min and Ninjara as the\u00a0ARMS\u00a0<\/em>representatives instead of just Min Min, it could be argued that this was the result of the extended process developers went through when trying to decide which\u00a0ARMS\u00a0<\/em>character to include, as mentioned in a Nintendo Direct presentation on March 26.<\/a><\/p>\n

Many speculated that\u00a0Doomguy would be the character announced during this year’s The Game Awards, since the awards show landed on\u00a0Doom<\/em>‘s anniversary and\u00a0DOOM Eternal\u00a0<\/em>had released on the Nintendo Switch just a few days prior. Additionally,\u00a0Ninja Gaiden<\/em>‘s Ryu Hayabusa has long been requested by fans,<\/a> with many believing that it is just a matter of time before the iconic ninja joins the all-star\u00a0Smash\u00a0<\/em>roster.<\/p>\n

And it may as well not be a\u00a0Smash<\/em> leak if Rayman isn’t included, as the cheeky character has also\u00a0rumored for\u00a0the series for quite some time, with one fan\u00a0even going out of their way to conjure\u00a0fake leaks of Rayman in\u00a0<\/a>Smash<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>back in 2015. While each of these characters has surely earned their spot on\u00a0Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>‘s ambitious roster, only time will tell if they’ll get the chance to brawl with the best of them.<\/p>\n
