Now that the 1.5 update for\u00a0Stardew Valley<\/span><\/i><\/strong>\u00a0is out, it turns out that Willy has something substantial to hide behind his secret door. The loveable fisherman of\u00a0Stardew Valley<\/em><\/a>\u00a0has a private ship to a mysterious new location for players.<\/p>\n

The 1.5 update is another major addition to the indie game, popular for its farming, cast, and relaxing vibes. While the patch list is huge, highlights include new characters and quests, as well as a new farm type. The\u00a01.5 update Stardew Valley\u00a0<\/em>update\u00a0adds\u00a0a host of new content<\/a>,\u00a0but left some bits secret.<\/p>\n

One of the changes left out of the notes was fisherman Willy\u2019s secret door and what is behind it. The door,\u00a0a tease for the new patch, adds one of the biggest expansions yet. Willy is keeping an ancient boat behind there that can take players to a new jungle map. The area is not just for show, as it houses unique puzzles, stories, and even a farmable spot. Though,\u00a0as part of Stardew Valley’s<\/em>\u00a0endgame content<\/a>,\u00a0the jungle cannot be accessed until players complete a series of milestones.<\/p>\n

To even unlock the door in Willy\u2019s shop, a player must finish every bundle in the\u00a0Stardew Valley<\/span><\/em>\u00a0Community Center or finish the Joja Mart quest. This can take a while for farmers starting out, but once completed they will receive a letter from Willy about the ancient boat. From there, a collect-a-thon begins to gather the necessary supplies to repair the ship. Players will need five Iridium Bars, four Battery Packs, 200 Hardwood Logs, and 1000 gold for the ticket.<\/p>\n

Stardew Valley\u00a0truly feels like the gift that keeps on giving. With only one original developer, Eric Barone, it released from humble beginnings. Since then, the incredible popularity has led this farming simulator to\u00a0get multiple platform versions and consistent updates. The\u00a01.5 update also adds local, split-screen co-op<\/a>, a top request since multiplayer was made a part of the game. Overall, the boat quest and jungle location will give players even more content to explore, further improving the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, some may feel as though the jungle quest has too much focus on endgame. With a\u00a0new beach farm type in 1.5<\/a>, players may have started a brand new save file.\u00a0Completing\u00a0all the Community Center bundles and gathering the required boat materials is a challenge. Therefore, it could take a while for new farmers to even access the jungle content, if at all. That said, enjoying the game at one’s\u00a0own pace is key to the\u00a0Stardew Valley<\/em>\u00a0experience. So, fans of the game will likely view this addition as a positive as it provides sorely needed endgame content<\/p>\n
