Those issues included NPCs just standing in front of moving cars or wandering into <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-hole-night-city\/\">parts of the <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/a> world it appears they weren\u2019t ever supposed to venture.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, a new <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> PC mod sharpens the game&#8217;s pedestrians\u2019 sense of awareness and makes other tweaks that have the background NPCs seem a bit more realistic. In reality, the Alternate Crowd Behavior mod by TemplarGFX for <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/cyberpunk-2077\/\">Cyberpunk 2077<\/a><\/em> isn\u2019t a full-on mod but a tweaked .ini file.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-incredible-judy-alvarez-cosplay\/\">Cyberpunk 2077 Fan Reveals Incredible Judy Alvarez Cosplay<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The modder\u2019s adjustments change some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/cyberpunk-2077-night-city-npc-fan-fiction\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">distance thresholds for background NPCs<\/a>, among other tweaks. One specific change in this <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> mod is that it increases the distances that pedestrians are able to notice obstacles in their path including the main character V. That means the crowd will actually veer away from players when they are driving their car, or just walking down the street.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KTWLbzxy7ko\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:1280;height:720;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>User-made mods are nothing new for PC games in general. Sites like Nexusmods exist for people to show off their creations in some of the gaming world\u2019s most popular games. The Alternate Crowd Behavior mod is just one of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-mod-look-like-doom\/\">several <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> mods<\/a> that have surfaced in the last few weeks. Some of the newest tweaks offered up for the game make it take on entirely different cosmetic looks. That includes a mod that makes it look like players can take on the role of the Doom Slayer.<\/p>\n<p>Another mod gave <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-third-person-mod\/\"><em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> the third-person perspective<\/a> several of CD Projekt Red\u2019s fans asked for early on in the game\u2019s development. Another tweak that TemplarGFX\u2019s work made is that Night City\u2019s NPCs don\u2019t need as much \u201cpersonal space\u201d as they did before. The tweak means background characters cluster up more naturally when they are walking around town. It also changes portions of the crowd so they apparently don\u2019t disappear into thin air anymore, when a player isn\u2019t looking directly at them.<\/p>\n<p>However, there are still instances of background characters suddenly blinking out of existence. They\u2019ll reportedly still vanish should V do something that scares them. Despite that, the mod apparently fixes quite a few of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-cd-projekt-class-action-lawsuit\/\">complaints people have had since <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/a> first launched, especially when it comes to background characters\u2019 behavior and there are two file versions available for anyone who wants to try them.
