According to some big-name insiders, developer Rockstar scrapped production of the long-awaited Bully 2<\/em> in order to focus on Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em><\/strong>. Fans have been waiting for a sequel to the 2006 title Bully<\/em> since it’s release, but it appears they will have to continue waiting.<\/p>\n

For Grand Theft Auto<\/em> fans, this is actually good news, meaning\u00a0Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em><\/a> could be coming out much sooner than previously thought. For fans of the 2006 classic Bully<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>though, this comes as a major disappointment. Production on Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em> taking up resources is bad news for fans of other games, including Red Dead Redemption 3<\/em><\/a>. If Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em> is the biggest priority for Rockstar, that means other titles will be taking a backseat for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

Notable Rockstar leaker Tez2 dropped the news on the GTA Forums that back in 2017, Rockstar\u00a0canceled production on Bully 2. <\/em>This is the second time the game has allegedly been canceled, as it was said to be in development and then canceled in 2010, as well. The reason for the most recent cancellation seems\u00a0to be to focus on the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto<\/em> franchise. Another notable insider, Yan2295 responded to the claims saying that Tez2 was right. However, as with all leaks, until concrete proof comes out, these claims are all\u00a0just rumors and speculation about what Rockstar is doing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Many Grand Theft Auto<\/em> fans are currently glad to see Rockstar take its time with GTA 6<\/em><\/a>. After the recent and disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>, many\u00a0GTA<\/em> fans would rather wait patiently instead of Rockstar releasing an unfinished product. In the case of GTA 6<\/em> though, the game hasn’t been officially announced or given a release date, so players are more or less left in the dark regarding where the game is in the production pipeline.<\/p>\n

Some fans think Rockstar teased GTA 6<\/em> in the trailer for the Cayo Perico Heist<\/a>. The recent release of that update does hint towards Rockstar not being done with GTA Online<\/em>, though. Without a developer response and with conflicting theories out there, fans of Rockstar’s games are left to wonder what the next releases will actually be.<\/p>\n

Rockstar is certainly busy managing players’ expectations. Sequels such as Bully 2<\/em>, Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em>, and Red Dead Redemption 3<\/em> are all very much wanted by players. With seven years of development\u00a0passing since GTA 5<\/em>‘s release, it’s yet to be seen what the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto<\/em> series will look like<\/a>.<\/p>\n
