ZeniMax Online Studios’ The Elder Scrolls Online<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is partnering with Modiphius Entertainment to bring the iconic MMO to tabletop gaming. Modiphius will be creating an ESO<\/em><\/a> product line for its tabletop wargame The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms,<\/em> to be released in 2021.<\/p>\n

Modiphius Entertainment is a U.K. publisher of role-playing games, board games, miniatures, novels, and more. Previously, it had\u00a0created a Bethesda property in the form of the\u00a0tabletop game Fallout: Wasteland Warfare<\/em><\/a>. In 2019,\u00a0Modiphius revealed a partnership with Bethesda to create a tabletop wargame set in\u00a0The Elder Scrolls<\/em> universe.\u00a0The\u00a0<\/em>Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms<\/em> is billed as “Wargaming in the World of Tamriel.”<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages and The\u00a0Imperial Library, Modiphius revealed that the next\u00a0expansion for the game will be based on\u00a0The Elder Scrolls Online<\/em><\/a>.<\/em>\u00a0The reveal showed off the miniatures that will be featured with the expansion set, which include the main characters\u00a0seen\u00a0in the cinematics for the MMO. Fans will recognize the Nord, Breton, and High Elf that have represented the three major factions. Mannimarco, the King of Worms himself, will also get a miniature.<\/p>\n

Modiphius already has several expansion sets for The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms<\/em><\/a> to choose from, with many different miniature figures to add to one’s collection. The content release for the game is broken up into “Ages” and “Chapters,” with Ages setting up major themes for a block of content releases, and Chapters being smaller release waves within the same Age. The content currently available with Call to Arms<\/em> is set about 201 years into the 4th Era of Tamriel, during the Dragon Crisis and the Skyrim Civil War.<\/p>\n

This Elder Scrolls Online<\/em>\u00a0expansion will also give players additional scenarios to play out, which are based on the cinematics for the game. By adding content\u00a0based on\u00a0the MMO,\u00a0<\/em>fans might be enticed to try out the tabletop game for the first time. At the very least, fans may want to collect the miniatures just for fun.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Elder Scrolls Online<\/em> expansion set for\u00a0Call to Arms<\/em> should be available for pre-order towards the start of 2021, with the release planned for Fall of 2021. Official dates and price points have not yet been revealed. While ESO<\/em> players might not be interested in the tabletop game, they still have plenty to look forward to in 2021 with the Gates of Oblivion<\/em> year-long adventure<\/a>. Overall, fans of the\u00a0The Elder Scrolls<\/em> franchise have plenty of options to enjoy the universe for a long time to come.<\/p>\n

The Elder Scrolls\u00a0Online<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia.<\/p>\n
