Now, one cosplayer just unveiled her tribute to <em><strong>Pokemon Sword<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Shield&#8217;s<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Nessa, who is the gym leader of Hulbury&#8217;s Gym in the Galar region.<\/p>\n<p>In a photo uploaded on Reddit, cosplayer Akasha\u00a0is seen posing similar to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-gym-leaders-comparison\/\">the fan-favorite gym leader Nessa<\/a>\u00a0while donning her iconic blue outfit. Additionally, Akasha took her tribute to a whole new level by recreating Nessa&#8217;s ocean blue hair, complete with gentle aqua streaks that have been popularized by the gym leader.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-direct-january-2021\/\">A Nintendo Direct Will Likely Take Place in January 2021<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As of the photo&#8217;s posting,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-sword\/\">Pokemon Sword<\/a><\/em> and<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-shield\/\">Pokemon Shield<\/a><\/em>\u00a0fans have poured their approval of Akasha&#8217;s version of the now-iconic gym leader. One fan pointed out the level of detail that went into recreating Nessa&#8217;s outfit, while another applauded the cosplayer for her faithful recreation of the character&#8217;s hairstyle.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/crossplay\/comments\/knbujc\/i_really_like_this_side_by_side\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web2x&#038;context=3\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It is worth remembering that this is not the first time a fan cosplayed Nessa from <em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and<em> Shield<\/em>. Several months ago, former\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wwe-star-zelina-vega-pokemon-nessa-cosplay\/\">WWE star Zelina Vega revealed her version of the character<\/a> by posting a short video on Twitter. After Vega got her hands on the <em>Pokemon Sword and Shield<\/em> Isle of Armor expansion that was just released that time, the former WWE star revealed that she found a way to celebrate her fondness of the game by cosplaying the gym leader Nessa.<\/p>\n<p>The video starts with the camera zoomed in on gameplay footage of Isle of Armor&#8217;s new location before it pulled back from the Switch to reveal Vega&#8217;s\u00a0version of Nessa&#8217;s look. Similar to Akasha&#8217;s cosplay of the character, Vega has successfully recreated Nessa&#8217;s iconic outfit, complete with her hairstyle just without the iconic aqua blue streaks. It is worth noting that Vega is no stranger to cosplaying video game characters as she has <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wwe-zelina-vega-sindel-mortal-kombat-royal-rumble\/\">recreated Sindel of <em>Mortal Kombat<\/em><\/a> in the past.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and<em> Shield<\/em> fans are now wondering what&#8217;s in store for the games in 2021. Although the two DLC expansions released this year gave players plenty to do in the game after finishing the main campaign, some wonder whether Nintendo will introduce more content expansions in the coming year. Unfortunately, Nintendo still hasn&#8217;t revealed any plans regarding future DLCs for <em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and<em> Shield<\/em>.
