The issue highlights one of several bugs seen since the game&#8217;s release last month.<\/p>\n<p>Developer Treyarch&#8217;s sixth\u00a0entry in its\u00a0<em>Black Ops\u00a0<\/em>series officially launched on November 13. The game has since received mixed reviews, with some praising its campaign and others criticizing multiplayer&#8217;s lack of depth. The\u00a0<em>Call of Duty<\/em> title received its latest update just days ago, which sees the addition of new playlists and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-3v3-snipers-only\/\">a 3v3 Snipers Only mode<\/a>. However, it appears the update didn&#8217;t fix a particular problem: hit detection.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-3d-audio-system\/\">Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War 3D Audio System Detailed<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war\/\">Call of Duty:Black Ops Cold War<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>gameplay clip posted to Reddit, user shabooga628 equips Akimbo Magnums while playing on Nuketown. Sprinting into one of the buildings,\u00a0the player rounds a corner to find a camped enemy. Shabooga628 then fires off a round of the close-range weapon straight at the opponent&#8217;s head, only to have nothing happen. Upon realization the hit didn&#8217;t land, the player turns around to\u00a0get in another four headshots.\u00a0Only the last one registers, but\u00a0by that\u00a0point, the camper had spotted him and gunned him down instantly.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/blackopscoldwar\/comments\/kngyo2\/ive_always_told_my_buddies_i_feel_like_the\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web2x&#038;context=3\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While every gun in\u00a0<em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> has varying specs when it comes to things like weight and recoil patterns, a gun not working entirely is enough to frustrate any gamer. Unfortunately, the clip isn&#8217;t an isolated incident, and doesn&#8217;t appear to be limited to the Magnum. Reports of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-duty-black-ops-cold-war-hit-detection-issues\/\">problems with <em>Cold War<\/em>&#8216;s hit detection<\/a> have been circulating for weeks, affecting a wide range of different weapons and modes. It appears Treyarch has yet to create a solution for this issue,\u00a0as the problem has seemingly persisted despite the game&#8217;s recent update.<\/p>\n<p>While the issue of hit detection is an understandably frustrating one, it isn&#8217;t the only thing that\u00a0<em>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/em> players are less than happy with. In addition to ongoing ping and tick-rate problems, many gamers also feel the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-split-screen-issues-problems-invisible\/\"><em>Call of Duty<\/em> title&#8217;s split-screen<\/a> has major issues of its own; lobby errors, severe lag, and invisible players, just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>For longtime <em>Call of Duty\u00a0<\/em>players who are tired of all of the new game&#8217;s ongoing issues, there&#8217;s an upcoming alternative.
