A millionaire rapper like T-Pain probably wouldn\u2019t be the first on many people\u2019s lists, but he clearly feels differently based on\u00a0a funny rant about the struggles of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-feature-promote-small-channel\/\">being a small streamer on Twitch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>T-Pain complained about the size of his audience compared to popular streamers during a recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/twitch\/\">Twitch<\/a> stream. When someone in the chat said that T-Pain wasn\u2019t a small streamer, he snapped back by naming a number of streamers with several times his number of views.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/among-us-addison-rae-stream-backlash\/\">Addison Rae Among Us Stream Leads to Backlash<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cxQc just did 90k on a Just Chatting, and I\u2019m not a small streamer?\u201d he said, naming one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. He mentioned several other big names in the streaming world, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fall-guys-timthetatman-win\/\">such as Mizkif and TimTheTatman,<\/a>\u00a0who\u00a0regularly pull in tens of thousands of viewers even at unusual hours. He specifically calls out the latter for raking in 38,000 views in the opening minutes of a 7:00 a.m. stream.<\/p>\n<p>It might seem strange to hear an internationally famous rapper complain about the lack of attention, but to be fair streaming is only a small and relatively recent part of his career. Known for popularizing auto-tune, T-Pain arrived on the music scene in 2005 with his album <em>Rappa Ternt Sanga<\/em>. With two Grammys and several chart-topping hits, he\u2019s certainly a celebrity, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-viewer-record\/\">even if his Twitch numbers aren\u2019t record-breaking.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/tpain\/clip\/HeartlessDreamyGaurNononoCat\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/animal-crossing-new-horizons-t-pain-wife-bells\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">T-Pain is an avid gamer and joined\u00a0Twitch in 2014<\/a>. His content includes music and gaming, and as of 2020 the rapper averages around 1,000 to 2,000 viewers per stream. While that\u2019s a perfectly respectable number, it\u2019s a far cry from the tens of thousands\u00a0that popular streamers attract every day. Despite his global fame, T-Pain is still a small fish in the Twitch pond.<\/p>\n<p>That said, one could easily argue it\u2019s misleading to call T-Pain a \u201csmall streamer.\u201d The rapper is still releasing albums, has a successful career as a music producer, and has made multiple TV appearances. He also has a net worth of about $10 million, and while that\u2019s a lot less than he had at his peak, he\u2019s still made more money in his career than many Twitch steamers ever will.<\/p>\n<p>Even if 2,000 views mark him as a small streamer, he\u2019s not in the same boat as a 19-year old gamer with no other claims to fame. He also maybe shouldn&#8217;t\u00a0sound so <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-streamer-xqc-gets-suspended-year-old-clip\/\">jealous of xQc, given the streamer&#8217;s frequent suspensions<\/a>.
