Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is a cult-classic game that is finally getting a re-release after many years. This arcade-style\u00a0Scott Pilgrim<\/em>\u00a0game will be getting a Complete Edition<\/a>\u00a0for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One on January 14.<\/p>\n

Originally release in 2010, this beat-’em-up, 2D side-scroller was based on the original comic books of\u00a0Scott Pilgrim vs the World<\/em>. It had a couple of DLC expansions as well, but has not be re-released since. But it was\u00a0recently announced that the Complete Edition of the original Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game<\/em> would now be available<\/a>\u00a0on the aforementioned new platforms as a re-release. This means there’s no major changes like a remaster or remake, so many may wonder\u00a0what exactly is included in the Complete Edition.<\/p>\n

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: the Game –\u00a0the Complete Edition<\/em> will feature the original game, the Knives Chau DLC, and the Wallace Wells DLC. In the original game, players could play as Ramona, Scott, or several others, but the DLCs gave players more characters to choose from. The original Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game<\/em> has been delisted<\/a> for several years, and players will again have access to the original as it was in 2010, an exciting prospect.<\/p>\n

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: the Game<\/a><\/em>\u00a0will be available in German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish through Ubisoft’s website, the Epic Game Store,\u00a0all the respective console stores, and many more game-purchasing websites.<\/p>\n

In spite of\u00a0Bryan Lee O’Malley, the series creator, wishing for several years for a rerelease of the original, it was not expected that Ubisoft would ever think it worth bringing back. It was even more unlikely when the 10th anniversary of\u00a0the Scott Pilgrim<\/em> movie<\/a> and game both\u00a0passed by without mention from the developers.<\/p>\n

Therefore,\u00a0O’Malley was just as surprised\u00a0as\u00a0fans when the rerelease of Scott Pilgrim<\/em> was announced<\/a> back in September 2020 at the Ubisoft\u00a0Forward digital presentation. It’s pretty obvious that fans not only of Scott Pilgrim<\/em>\u00a0itself but also of 2D side-scrollers in general are pretty excited for the release, based on the reviews available for the previous release of the game.<\/p>\n
