Divinity: Original Sin 2<\/a><\/em> has a little something for everyone. If a player loves the idea of sneaking around and backstabbing their foes, the Scoundrel skill tree is for them. Someone like the idea of summoning massive monsters to do their bidding? Go with the Summoning skill tree.<\/p>\n

What about launching oil-filled rocks, shaking the Earth’s core, and manipulating waves of poison? Well, players who like the sound of that will love the Geomancer skill tree. The earth becomes their weapon of choice and the greatest line of defense. Even the Undead can benefit from the range of influence of Geomancer.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Fossil Strike<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Fossil Strike is great for players to choose at the beginning of the game when using the Geomancer skill tree. This ability deals decent damage against enemies while also coating them in oil. This oil slows down the enemies hit by it and forces them to spend more action points to perform movement actions.<\/p>\n

Oil is also extremely flammable,<\/a> so hitting enemies that are on fire will cause them to explode in a fiery blaze. The small area of effect also allows players to easily hit enemies instead of their allies.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Fortify<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Players who go with the Geomancer skills may require some extra armor. After all, that never hurt\u00a0anyone, right? The Fortify skill comes in use more often than other abilities. It increases the physical armor of whoever it is applied to.<\/p>\n

It also removes the poisoned, bleeding, burning, acid, and decaying effects. Since it can be cast on allies as well as the player, this skill truly helps on the battlefield<\/a>. Players should use it every time it becomes available.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Oily Carapace<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Here is another skill that is useful to have on all builds involving Geomancy. Many of the Geomancer skills<\/a> will cause oil to spill out onto the battlefield. Rather than letting it sit there or catching it on fire, players can use the Oily Carapace skill to consume the oil and use it as physical armor.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t have the same effect as Fortify, but it does remove the slowed debuff. This skill can also be used in conjunction with the Turn To Oil skill for even greater armor gains.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Mend Metal<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Mend Metal is yet another great armor skill that even allies will be thankful for. This ability has a five-meter radius that mends the physical armor of all allies within it. This effect lasts for three turns and gives a little bit of physical armor each turn.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this ability doesn’t remove any negative status effects that have been placed on any of the characters affected by it. At least they get their armor back though.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Earthquake<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Earthquake is where things start to get interesting. This ability has a large area of effect<\/a> that hits enemies around the player for 100% Earth damage. It also has the chance to knock down all enemies within the area of effect. Knockdown makes it so the enemies will lose their next turn.<\/p>\n

On top of that, this ability also creates eight random oil surfaces for the player to take advantage of. The only downside to the ability is that it can knock items down and break them. This could be bad for looting after the fight has ended.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Corrosive Spray<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Corrosive Spray has an area of effect that is cone-shaped and easy to avoid allies<\/a> with. The area of effect is seven meters but doesn’t hurt enemies. Instead, this ability completely breaks the physical armor of anyone caught in it. This is great to take down highly armored enemies with.<\/p>\n

This skill also sets acid and atrophy status effects. For those who don’t know, acid breaks a target’s physical armor each turn, and atrophy prevents those affected by it from using physical attacks.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Dust Blast<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Dust Blast brings even more status effects for players to hurt enemies<\/a> with. This ability unleashes a large blast of dirt that only affects enemies and causes them to go blind. The blinding effect from this ability lasts for two turns.<\/p>\n

This ability also deals damage based on the player’s intelligence and Geomancer skill level. The downside to\u00a0Dust Blast\u00a0is that players will need to allocate points into the Huntsman skill tree to unlock it, but that is a small price to pay.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Summon Artillery Plant<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The Summon Artillery Plant skill is great for players who want to dish out tons of poison damage and don’t mind an explosion here and there if fire is present. This skill summons a plant that shoots balls of acid at the enemies and leaves cursed poison clouds.<\/p>\n

The acid balls shot from the artillery plant deal poison damage that lingers for three turns. It can also cast poison wave which leaves a large area of poison around it.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Living Wall<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Living Wall is an interesting ability that is helpful in tight quarters<\/a> with a lot of enemies. Take care of pathways by summoning this 13-meter long wall and preventing enemies from crossing it. This wall also emits poison which can hurt the enemies caught near it.<\/p>\n

The wall lasts for three turns and is very useful when caught in a bind. It can also be used to split allies away from other abilities that could hurt them.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Pyroclastic Eruption<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This is perhaps the king of all the Geomancer skills<\/a>. It costs three source points to use, but players will be glad they have. This ability causes multiple oil-filled rocks to fly from the player and hit every enemy within the thirteen-meter wide area of effect.<\/p>\n

Each one of these rocks leaves behind an oil surface and inflicts the slowed status effect on every enemy it hits. It also deals 300% Earth damage. Use the Far Out Man talent to increase the range and no enemy will be able to hide.<\/p>\n
