For example, it&#8217;s hard to imagine <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokeprincxss-sued-by-nintendo\/\">the\u00a0company that sued TikTok star Pokeprincxss<\/a> approving a bizarrely segmented Pikachu plushie that conjures images of <em>The Human Centipede<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese online retailer AliExpress is selling a line of strange Pikachu plush dolls with long, segmented bodies. While intended to serve as a cute and comfortable cushion, some are reminded of the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/human-centipede-movies-controversial-why-explained\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">controversial horror film <em>The Human Centipede<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0Twitter user ultrapokememes was quick to compare the plushie to the infamous film, jokingly suggesting its <em>Pokemon<\/em> variant will have a 2021 release date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-title\"><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-unova-collection-challenge-details\/\">Pokemon GO Unova Collection Challenge Goes Live Early, Confirms Tasks and Rewards<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"article-title\">The product\u2019s full name is \u201cVery Long Pikachued Insect Elf Plush Doll Cute Anime Cartoon Pillow Stuffed Toy Yellow Decoration Christmas Gift For Kids\u201d on AliExpress, but some fans\u00a0have taken to calling it the Pikacentipede. The plushies come in four sizes ranging from\u00a02&#8217;9&#8243; to\u00a05&#8217;6&#8243; in length, and the insectoid look comes from the five-to-ten spherical segments making up their elongated bodies. Creepy toys may be <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-how-many-1000\/\">far from <em>Pokemon<\/em>&#8216;s biggest problem as a franchise<\/a>, but this one is eye-catching.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ultrapokememes\/status\/1344363779472191488\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Strange as they may seem, there is a method to the Pikacentipede\u2019s madness. Customers can bend the articulated dolls into a variety of different shapes, including pillows, neck supports, back supports, or even armrests. While the fluffy yellow monster certainly looks comfortable, there is something undeniable off-putting about an elongated <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon\/\">Pokemon<\/a> wrapped around someone\u2019s neck.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, the Pikacentipede has inspired confusion, amusement, and horror in more or less equal measure. One common question from Twitter users is why\u00a0they went with a Pikachu plush when there are already segmented Pokemon such as Gyarados, Weedle, and Caterpie. Presumably, the plushie creators were hoping to capitalize on Pikachu\u2019s recognizability as the <em>Pokemon<\/em> mascot. However, stretching it to several times the standard length might make some people glad that not every piece of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-nintendo-ds-cartridges\/\">Pokemon paraphernalia ends up in the public eye<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Many were horrified by these monstrous Pikachu, but others\u00a0are eager to get one.
