Developer Vanillaware’s visual novel\/strategy hybrid 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim<\/strong><\/em> was one of the hidden gems of 2020. As with most Vanillaware titles, the game is niche and stayed under the radar, which is why it is considered one of the best games players might have missed in 2020<\/a>. Now, publisher Atlus has revealed sales numbers for 13 Sentinels<\/em>, and it looks like word of mouth has helped the game’s sales.<\/p>\n

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim<\/em> tells a story about a group of high school-aged kids and their unusual connection to giant mech robots and each other. The twists and turns keep coming as the characters slowly learn just what is going on, and why these futuristic mechs are appearing. The pacing is perfect, and the story is so well written, 13 Sentinels<\/em> is easily one of the best video game stories of 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n
