Players immediately jumped in to prove their mettle, and in July of 2020 a 76 kill record was achieved by players ItsDerekMay and LIAM. But yesterday Silva had a new record in his sights. He was the definition of deadly silence as he shot his way to 61 kills without so much as uttering more than a few words.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-pro-blazt-retirement\/\">Call of Duty Pro Blazt Is Stepping Away To Focus On Streaming Career<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Silva&#8217;s poise during his match is admirable, and he seems to know exactly where to find opponents at any given moment. It will be no surprise to\u00a0<em>Warzone\u00a0<\/em>fans that Silva uses every every tool in his arsenal, grabbing knife kills, SUV kills, and kills with akimbo 9mm Parabellum pistols. Even less of surprise will be Silva&#8217;s liberal use of the DMR-14, a marksman rifle that has defined the latest\u00a0<em>Warzone\u00a0<\/em>meta and has <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-dmr-nerf-overpowered-unplayable\/\">fans and pro gamers alike calling the game &#8220;unplayable.&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5asW_Q4xoUM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:1280;height:720;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Silva manages to deal over 17,000 damage during the course of the match as he shows off some flick shots and snipes from far across the map. He spends the majority of the match on his own, constantly switching cover and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-killstreaks\/\">buying plenty of killstreaks<\/a>. According to Silva&#8217;s father, Silva honed these skills playing other FPS and battle royale games like <em>PUBG<\/em>, <em>Apex Legends<\/em>, and <em>Fortnite<\/em>. Silva&#8217;s personal best kill count before this record-setting performance was 48. It&#8217;s safe to say he&#8217;s left that number firmly in the dust.<\/p>\n<p>Breaking a record in\u00a0<em>Warzone\u00a0<\/em>isn&#8217;t easy, which makes Silva&#8217;s performance even more of standout. All potential record submissions must be in video format, with scoreboard images not allowed. Matches played on a lower-level smurf account are disqualified as well to ensure quality opponents, and potential record videos must always include the player level. Of course, the addition of\u00a0<em>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/em>content has made record-breaking easier. Pro player Jordan &#8220;HusKerrs&#8221; Thomas took advantage of the DMR-14 and Mac-10 weapons (both from\u00a0<em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em>) to achieve his latest world record in the Solo vs. Duos category. Though both Silva and Thomas played some stellar matches, plenty of people are <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-warzone-unhappy-players\/\">unhappy with\u00a0<em>Black Ops Cold War&#8217;<\/em>s integration into\u00a0<em>Warzone<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Silva has a bright future in\u00a0<em>Call of Duty\u00a0<\/em>games ahead of him and should be proud of his world record. His skill is clear even without the DMR, which is supposed to be getting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/call-of-duty-warzones-dmr-nerf\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nerfed alongside the Mac-10 in future\u00a0<em>Warzone\u00a0<\/em>updates<\/a>.
