Besides Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/donald-trump-twitch-account-suspended-banned-why\/\">streaming platform Twitch has suspended Trump&#8217;s account<\/a>, citing his potential to incite further violence if given a platform. Due to these decisions, a social media power vacuum has been created, and an unlikely challenger from the\u00a0<strong><em>Hearthstone<\/em><\/strong> community has emerged to fill the void, albeit reluctantly.<\/p>\n<p>Pro\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/hearthstone\/\"><em>Hearthstone<\/em><\/a> player and streamer Jeffrey &#8220;Trump&#8221; Shih has experienced a flood of Twitter followers who may have mistaken him for the US president. He tweeted about this development, clearing up his identity as a\u00a0player of Blizzard&#8217;s card game and not as a politician.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hearthstone-duel-fest-protest-blizzard\/\">Angry Hearthstone Fans Flood Tournament Chat With Blizzard Criticism<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Shih&#8217;s social media accounts and activity are currently trending, with his tweet having more than 172 thousand likes as of this time of publication. The former\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/starcraft-mass-recall-remake-inside-starcraft-2\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Starcraft II<\/em><\/a> pro has not commented on the events at the US Capitol beyond this tweet.\u00a0His Twitter account currently has more than 170 thousand followers and his Twitch account with about 819 thousand.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TrumpSC\/status\/1346918315378298880\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shih, who goes by &#8220;TrumpSC&#8221; on his social media accounts, has previously expressed regret over his username. In his Twitch channel FAQ, the 33-year-old streamer explained the rationale behind his name, stating: &#8220;<span class=\"c2 c4\">It\u2019s a short and powerful name. \u00a0My intent was mainly to use the verb form:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c19 c4\">trump &#8211; v &#8211;\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c19\">to excel; surpass; outdo.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c33\">I consider it the ultimate unlucky RNG that Donald Trump won the presidency.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Besides Shih, there have been several other notable gaming-related events related to the storming of the US Capitol. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-removes-pogchamp-capitol-attack-gootecks\/\">Twitch has removed the famous PogChamp emote<\/a> following inflammatory comments made on Twitter by the face of the image, Ryan &#8220;Gootecks&#8221; Gutierrez.<\/p>\n<p>Photos have also emerged of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/us-capitol-riots-dishonored-tattoo\/\">a rioter with a symbol from the\u00a0<em>Dishonored<\/em> series tattooed onto his hand<\/a>.
