Eevee is one of the original 151 Pokemon from the Kanto region, where Pokemon Red<\/em> and Pokemon Blue<\/em> were set in. The original set of Pokemon were also the first to come to Pokemon GO<\/strong><\/em> back when it first launched in 2016 for iOS and Android devices.<\/p>\n

Eevee is a fairly basic Normal-type Pokemon, but what makes this adorable monster so special is the fact that it can evolve into eight different Pokemon, all of which have different elemental typings. It’s also become a mascot Pokemon for the long-running franchise, even having its own video game right beside Pikachu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of the Pokemon that Eevee can evolve into is a Water-type Pokemon called Vaporeon. In the mainline Pokemon<\/em> games, Eevee\u00a0can only evolve\u00a0into this creature via a Water stone. However, things are a little bit different in Pokemon GO<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>because trainers have several methods for getting a Vaporeon in the mobile game.<\/p>\n

One of the easiest ways to get an Eevee to evolve into a Vaporeon is by changing its name before trainers use candy on it to evolve. By acquiring 25 Candy, Eevee has the chance to evolve, but unless players change the name of Eevee, it’ll randomly evolve into one of the eight ‘Eeveelutions<\/a>.’<\/p>\n

Change Eevee’s name to Rainer by going to its profile page and pressing on the little pencil icon by its current name. Once its name has been changed and the player feeds it\u00a025 Eevee Candy, it’ll evolve into a Vaporeon<\/a>. This can only be done once per evolution line, so once a player uses this trick, they will have to stick to other methods to get another Vaporeon.<\/p>\n
