LiSA won the Grand Prix of the 62nd Japan Record Award for the hit song \u201cHomura,\u201d which is the theme song for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demon-slayer-highest-grossing-film-japan\/\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba THE MOVIE Mugen Train.<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LiSA is a J-pop artist that is starting to become synonymous with the <em>Demon Slayer<\/em> franchise\u00a0after crafting the theme song for the <em>Demon Slayer<\/em> anime series and now the movie. The song \u201cHomura\u201d won her the Grand Prix, which is top honors in the Japanese music industry. Her previous single &#8220;Gurenge&#8221; served as the opening theme for\u00a0the <em>Demon Slayer<\/em> anime series that released in 2019 has also been popular on YouTube.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">Related:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/airi-suzuki-chikatto-chika-chika-dance\/\">J-Pop Star Brings Back &#8216;Chikatto Chika Chika&#8217; Dance<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LiSA\u2019s involvement in the <em>Demon Slayer<\/em> franchise appears to have been a boon for both with her music becoming every bit as part of the experience as what is happening in the show and movie. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/makoto-shinkai-next-film-inspired-events-2020\/\">It started with \u201cGurenge,\u201d<\/a> which was voted by TV Asahi as a top-30 anime theme song of all time. It made sense that she would return to the franchise and write \u201cHomura\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4DxL6IKmXx4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/naruto-demon-slayer-kanao-sasuke-eye-power-deadliest\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The<em> Demon Slayer <\/em>movie would go on<\/a> to become the highest-grossing anime movie in Japanese history and \u201cHomura\u201d followed that success with the award and a music video that drew more than 100 million views on YouTube. \u201cGurenge\u201d was no slouch either with the music video drawing 57 million views on YouTube. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demon-slayer-fan-plans-sue-ex-throwing-away-nezuko-figurines\/\">The song also topped<\/a> the Oricon singles charts (Japan\u2019s version of the Billboard Music Charts) for 11 weeks, which is history-making in its own right.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anime openings and endings are one of those convergence points <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sailor-moon-eternal-teaser-trailer-music-video\/\">between anime and Japanese popular music<\/a>. The themes to some popular series are something that fans remember and it&#8217;s been a spot for some artists to break in and stars to make their mark.
