Genshin Impact\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>often tasks its players with hunting down various materials and ingredients before letting them advance. Whether it’s Talent\u00a0Level-Ups, or Weapon Ascension,\u00a0players regularly need to collect unique sets of ingredients in order to enhance their characters and equipment.<\/p>\n

While Weapons can be Enhanced, Refined, and Ascended, playable characters in Genshin Impact<\/em><\/a> are generally either leveled up or Ascended, the latter of which requires rather peculiar ingredients. Every character in the game asks for a certain assortment of items whenever they reach a point of Ascension, and each of these characters’ sets of Ascension Materials includes a particular Local Specialty, like the Cecilia, which players must track down.<\/p>\n

While Travelers are often in pursuit of Jueyun Chili for Xiangling, or Violetgrass for Qiqi, the Local Specialty associated with Venti, and the game’s newest playable character, Albedo, is the elegant Cecilia flower. These Mondstadt Local Specialties, as their title implies, are native to the game’s Mondstadt region<\/a>, and although they’re uncommon, they aren’t hardly as difficult to find as novelties like Violetgrass and the fabled Qingxin Flower.<\/p>\n

Cecilia can be found naturally throughout Mondstadt, with Starsnatch Cliff (just east of Mondstadt proper) offering players a small field of Cecilia to stroll through. Players will find Cecilia in unusually large numbers\u00a0across Starsnatch Cliff,\u00a0but otherwise, the flower can be found sporadically in Mondstadt natural areas<\/a>. If players have already collected the Cecilia at Starsnatch Cliff, and still need more flowers, there are thankfully several alternate avenues to Cecilia, though they’re rather limited.<\/p>\n

If\u00a0Travelers aren’t feeling\u00a0like going out on a flower-picking adventure, they can opt for purchasing some Cecilia from Flora, in Mondstadt. She can be found just to the right of the main entrance, and sells flowers from behind her cute stand. Once players have bought out Flora’s supply, they can also head to two other convenient sources for an extra handful of Cecilia.<\/p>\n

Travelers will receive some extra Cecilia flowers for speaking to an NPC who wanders the top of Starsnatch Cliff. Likewise, a nun who tends to the front entrance of the\u00a0Mondstadt\u00a0Cathedral\u00a0will also give players some\u00a0of these Mondstadt Local Specialties<\/a>\u00a0when spoken to. These flowers are\u00a0basically only used for two reasons in the game’s current state: to Ascend Venti and Albedo, and to craft Anemoculus Resonance Stones.<\/p>\n

Especially if players hope to invest in the newest five-star, Albedo, they should start gathering Cecilia samples as soon a spossible due to each level of Ascension calling for more Cecilia than the last. Not to mention, Anemoculus Resonance Stones will help locate the game’s 50+ Anemoculi<\/a>, so players may find themselves needing some of these Stones as they get closer to end-game content. Unless Travelers have been actively noting which oculi they have or haven’t discovered, it may be tricky to find the very last ones.<\/p>\n

Genshin Impact<\/strong><\/em> is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.<\/p>\n
