Fans of Hannibal Lecter will be excited to see their favorite heroine back again in a new trailer for Clarice<\/em>.\u00a0CBS released the trailer on January 10, showing off Aussie actress Rebecca Breeds in the titular role. The atmosphere looks spooky and dark, making it seem like Clarice<\/em><\/strong> will be leaning strongly into the horror elements previous Hannibal works<\/a>\u00a0also featured. This is a story that hasn\u2019t been told before, and will hopefully show another side to the character.<\/p>\n

Clarice will be set one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs<\/em><\/a>, and tells the story of Agent Clarice Starling after she returns to the field. She heads to Washington, D.C. and again is pursuing serial killers while being haunted by her experiences with Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill.<\/p>\n

The role of Clarice Starling was of course made famous by Jodie Foster in the original The Silence of the Lambs<\/em> film in 1991. She earned an Academy Award for Best Actress In A Leading Role for her efforts, with Anthony Hopkins taking Best Actor In A Leading Role for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter<\/a>. The Silence of the Lambs<\/em> also makes history as being one of the few horror films to be recognized by the Academy, also winning Best Picture for that year.<\/p>\n
