The main <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/star-wars\/\"><em>Star Wars<\/em><\/a> website reveals that Lucasfilm Games, with the support of multiple studios from the industry, is the new identity for all future entries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-90s-lucasarts-games-ranked\/\">Lucasfilms\u00a0is no stranger to gaming<\/a>, and\u00a0its excursions into the medium have led to some of the most popular and memorable <em>Star Wars<\/em> experiences. Back in May 2013, Electronic Arts acquired the exclusive rights to make <em>Star Wars<\/em> games, unifying the brand. Since then, entries to the franchise have come out slowly and with varying degrees of quality and reception.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-best-game-characters\/\">Star Wars: The 10 Best Characters To Come From The Games<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now, all future gaming titles in the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-2-new-disney-plus-shows\/\"><em>Star Wars<\/em> universe<\/a> will fall under Lucasfilm Games. As part of the announcement, the group has also shown off two social media channels for fans to keep up with the latest news. Players can stay in the loop @LucasfilmGames either via Twitter or Facebook. In addition, there is a new logo for Lucasfilm Games viewers can see in the special sizzle reel below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sKVWJNa3uqE\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:1280;height:720;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To hype up fans, the sizzle reel goes through all the most recent <em>Star Wars<\/em> games that have come out. Included are highlights like <em>Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-best-flight-sim-squadrons-rogue-squadron\/\">flight simulator <em>Star Wars: Squadrons<\/em><\/a> to the infamous\u00a0<em>Star Wars Battlefront 2<\/em>. The eclectic catalogue also has clips of MMOs, <em>Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes<\/em> and <em>Star Wars: The Old Republic<\/em>. Even unrelated series in today&#8217;s industry like <em>Fortnite<\/em>, <em>The Sims 4<\/em>, and <em>Minecraft<\/em> have connections to the <em>Star Wars<\/em> brand. The series&#8217; umbrella is growing larger all the time, and Lucasfilm Games will now be the hub for all titles.<\/p>\n<p>Since the <em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0franchise\u00a0came under Disney control, it has had some difficulty finding an identity. Everything from the main movies, games, and spin-offs have dealt with various levels of reception. <em>Star Wars Battlefront 2<\/em> saw particularly harsh response on launch, but with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/star-wars-battlefront-best-improvements\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">changes managed to restore some ground<\/a>. However, that is hopefully now changing with Lucasfilm Games becoming the main brand identity. While the studios developing games will be different, having a unified\u00a0brand\u00a0should keep future games of a certain quality.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, at this point Lucasfilm Games is merely just a logo and a name. It still remains to be seen if future entries like <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-movies-fail\/\"><em>LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga<\/em> will succeed<\/a> in restoring positivity. Fortunately,\u00a0games like <em>Jedi: Fallen Order<\/em> and <em>Squadrons<\/em> released to generally good reception.
