The Sims 4<\/strong><\/em> finally announced the theme of its newest stuff pack and it seems pretty spooky\u2014for a Sims<\/em> game, anyway. The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff<\/em> trailer showcases some new gameplay details along with Create-a-Sim items and colorful new Build\/Buy mode items, seemingly curated from last year\u2019s proposed \u201cHappy Haunts\u201d pack. The community voted for Nifty Knitting<\/em> instead, but players responded well to the possibility of a supernatural or paranormal pack.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s true The Sims 4<\/em><\/a> already has a Spooky Stuff<\/em> pack, the upcoming Paranormal<\/em> pack takes a different approach. Spooky Stuff<\/em> has a distinctly Halloween feel to it and seems to channel cutesy Halloween decorations and costume parties. Paranormal<\/em>, on the other hand, feels more advanced, featuring things like seance tables and a paranormal investigator career. However, though these packs were similarly themed, Paranormal<\/em> took the opportunity Spooky Stuff<\/em> didn\u2019t\u2014to include Bonehilda.<\/p>\n

Bonehilda is a skeleton maid who first appeared in The Sims<\/em> games<\/a> in the expansion pack Makin\u2019 Magic<\/em>. Players could purchase Bonehilda\u2019s closet (making them literally have skeletons in their closet), and when she was summoned, she would help clean the house or repair broken items. What she wouldn\u2019t do, however, was garden or serve food.<\/p>\n

This skeleton maid was noticeably absent from The Sims 2<\/em><\/a>, but returned in The Sims 3: Supernatural<\/em> expansion pack. Much like her earlier version from The Sims<\/em>, Bonehilda will function like a maid around a Sims\u2019 home by cooking, cleaning, and repairing items for them. However, it seems her interactions with babies and toddlers don\u2019t work. So, though players technically don\u2019t need to call a babysitter when Bonehilda is on the lot, she cannot feed the children so it\u2019s probably best to hire some help.<\/p>\n

Beyond normal maid duties, Bonehilda will perform other tasks too,\u00a0like dog training or putting out fires<\/a> on the home lot. She\u2019s also got quite an interesting personality, shown in her propensity to steal skinny dipping Sims\u2019 clothes and the way she\u2019ll drink every single drink left on a bar. She can\u2019t actually digest them, of course, so she just leaves a puddle on the ground after each drink. Additionally, just like in the original Sims game, Bonehilda will not garden in The Sims 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n
