Following that, people on Twitter started talking about what other Wii U ports might be best on the Switch, and how they might be modified to better fit the system like <em>Bowser&#8217;s Fury<\/em> is doing for <em>Super Mario 3D World<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-city-undercover-games-pulled-wii-u-3ds\/\"><em>Lego City: Undercover<\/em> Games Disappear from Wii U and 3DS Digital Storefronts<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As of now, only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/only-9-first-party-wii-u-games-havent-been-ported-to-the-nintendo-switch-yet\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nine first-party Wii U games have yet to be ported to Switch<\/a>. Some people\u00a0took the time time to share their memories of the system and trade memes about its games.\u00a0There has always been a lot of discussion as to which\u00a0Wii U ports should come to the Switch next, as many feel the Wii U had some excellent games despite its lackluster sales.<em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonComms\/status\/1349066562817433604?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-switch-wii-u-games-super-mario-3d-world\/\">Open-world JRPG <em>Xenoblade Chronicles X<\/em><\/a> is often a popular choice, especially now that both\u00a0<em>Xenoblade Chronicles<\/em> and <em>Xenoblade Chronicles 2<\/em>\u00a0are on Switch.\u00a0<em>Xenoblade Chronicles X <\/em>could potentially benefit from\u00a0new story content,\u00a0as it originally ended on a cliffhanger. Other games that often get brought up are <em>Nintendo Land<\/em> and <em>Star Fox Zero,\u00a0<\/em>though they both would need tweaking to feel at home on the system as they took advantage of the Wii U&#8217;s dual screen functionality.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kohiwonomitai\/status\/1348994051685707776\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jingojangojoing\/status\/1348995996299177985?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Coming right off the heels of the successful Wii, the Wii U was one of Nintendo&#8217;s worst-selling systems by a wide margin. Now that\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/netflix-app-discontinued-wii-u-3ds\/\">Netflix app being discontinued on the Wii U and 3DS<\/a>, it seems like the Wii U is finally coming to the end of its life, so now is likely the best time to finish porting its first-party games so they can be given a second chance on the more successful Switch.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bil0batefall708\/status\/1349004809232384000\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If Nintendo wants the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-switch-outsells-ps4-xbox-one-series-x-s-ps5-2020-uk\/\">Switch to continue outselling the competition<\/a>, it should be careful to make sure the Switch doesn&#8217;t just become a port machine, as many were worried it might have been early in its life.
