However, while responding to some fans familiar with the eight-year old game, Moore has let it be known how he would like to approach his older classic, in a different direction than the remake of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demons-souls-remake-tower-latria-terrifying\/\">PS3&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Demon&#8217;s Souls<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This acknowledgement of\u00a0<em>Puppeteer<\/em> came after a fan responded to Moore&#8217;s New Year wishes on Twitter, who asked to see the PS3 classic get either a remaster, if not the full <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demons-souls-bluepoint-games-good\/\">Bluepoint remake treatment<\/a>. In response, Moore stated that he wouldn&#8217;t want to work on a remaster at this point, but would rather push for new stories within an expanded\u00a0<em>Puppeteer<\/em> series.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps3-development-stories\/\">10 Stories Behind The Development Of The PS3<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Instead of remaking or remastering\u00a0<em>Puppeteer<\/em>, Moore is more interested now in developing a sequel in order to tell new stories with what started in 2013. Granted, it wouldn&#8217;t be unheard of for the sequel for even popular games from the time to have skipped over an entire generation of consoles, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-elder-scrolls-6-character-creation-inclusive\/\">upcoming\u00a0<em>Elder Scrolls 6<\/em><\/a>. So, this could mean that Moore&#8217;s intention to see a\u00a0<em>Puppeteer 2<\/em> might not be too out of the question, especially after the director&#8217;s recent success with the\u00a0<em>Demon&#8217;s Souls<\/em> remake.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GavinmGavin\/status\/1347360202652221446\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Given the general reception of the game, with an 80% on Metacritic and an 8.4 from users, the issues with\u00a0<em>Puppeteer<\/em> may not have been a lack of compelling gameplay or art styles. It may have come down to marketing more than anything else that kept players from jumping onto the game.
