The short clip featuring Crash\u2019s origin story offers a glimpse of what the modern-day <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/crash-bandicoot\/\"><em>Crash Bandicoot <\/em><\/a>cartoon could have offered.<\/p>\n<p>Originating from the <em>Crash Bandicoot<\/em> subreddit, the post contained a clip from the supposedly\u00a0canned series. Development is said to have been a collaboration between Amazon and Activision.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spyro-4-teaser-crash-bandicoot\/\">Crash 4 Art Book Has a Spyro 4 Tease<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The scene stars Dr. Neo Cortex as he genetically mutates Crash into the zany, crate-smashing marsupial audiences know today. The art direction of the clip differs quite a bit from <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/crash-bandicoot-4-review\/\">Toys for Bob\u2019s well-received <em>Crash Bandicoot 4: It\u2019s About Time<\/em><\/a>, instead opting for a more vintage animation style.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BandicootWorld\/status\/1349142312862044160\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The post has since created a community outcry to revive the project. Fans are utilizing #ResurrectCrashCartoon to rally support for the axed project. The hashtag can be seen flooding comments sections of <em>Crash Bandicoot<\/em>\u2019s official social media posts.<\/p>\n<p>The question of whether or not the origin of the leaked footage is legit is still up in the air. While Amazon could have commissioned a <em>Crash Bandicoot\u00a0<\/em>cartoon, another plausible explanation is that this scene is fan-made. It wouldn\u2019t be the first time a fan has utilizing their talents to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/elder-scrolls-oblivion-ps1\/\">create an amazing tribute for their favorite franchise<\/a>. Supporting this theory is the fact that Dr. Cortex\u2019s voice sounds so far gone from what fans are accustomed to hearing from the deranged scientist. Of course, the clip is described as being a \u201ctest\u201d or a \u201cpitch,\u201d which would explain why some aspects might appear off.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, <em>Crash Bandicoot<\/em>\u2019s comical antics seem like <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/crash-bandicoot-4-cartoon\/\">a perfect fit for a television series<\/a>, making a collaboration between Amazon and Activision well within the realm of possibility. Neither company has responded to these rumors despite the fact that they are garnering a lot of attention. If the project never existed, it would have made sense to deny the claims immediately. Additionally, there are also leaked documents containing \u201cSample Story Premises\u201d making their rounds throughout the community.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BroskiBae\/status\/1349368390100660225\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This wouldn\u2019t have been the first time Crash appeared in an animated short. There was a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/stories-about-crash-bandicoots-development\/\">scrapped cutscene in the style of a Saturday-morning cartoon<\/a> intended to be included in the first <em>Crash Bandicoot <\/em>game as well. Fans may also remember the series of animated shorts released in 2007 to promote the launch of <em>Crash of the Titans<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Crash Bandicoot <\/em>series has experienced a renaissance since the successful launch of the <em>Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy<\/em> in 2017. Activision has fully invested in the franchise\u2019s revival, green lighting the development of <em>Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled<\/em> and <em>Crash Bandicoot 4: It\u2019s About Time<\/em>. The Crash comeback has been full steam ahead, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/crash-bandicoot-run-release-date\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">with <em>Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!<\/em> well on its way<\/a> and a new title rumored to be just on the horizon.
