Today, a new update pays further homage to its <em>Castlevania<\/em> roots by <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/bloodstained-ritual-night-classic-mode-free-update-announcement\/\">adding a Classic Mode to <em>Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Classic Mode redesigns the Metroidvania to be more like an old-school <em>Castlevania<\/em> game,\u00a0including\u00a0new level layouts turning\u00a0it\u00a0into a five-stage gauntlet with sub-bosses, a limited-use ability system, and retro-inspired menus with unique UI elements. This mode is available to all players in the Extra Mode menu\u00a0whether or not they&#8217;ve beaten the core game, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night\/\"><em>Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em><\/a>\u00a0news post today.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/bloodstained-breaks-kickstarter-record\/\">&#8216;Bloodstained&#8217; Breaks Kickstarter Record for Crowdfunded Video Game<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also included in this update is a crossover\u00a0with the world of <em>Kingdom Two Crown<\/em>s, which incorporated content based on <em>Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night<\/em> last year. The game has a new hidden area that can be accessed using the &#8220;Crown of Creation&#8221; item, and those who beat its boss will receive an Archer Familiar Shard.\u00a0<em>Kingdom Two Crowns<\/em> is published by Raw Fury, which also recently put out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-the-sea-review\/\">first-person puzzle game\u00a0<em>Call of the Sea<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SwordOrWhip\/status\/1349779617666781187?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 2019 release has been successful well beyond its Kickstarter half a decade ago, and new content updates will only further cement its status as a beloved Metroidvania.
