Although the company eventually hit some snags financially and\u00a0closed its doors in 2018, a number of Telltale’s best games live on as modern classics, with\u00a0its take\u00a0on The\u00a0<\/em>Walking Dead <\/em><\/a>and\u00a0its rendition of\u00a0Fables\u00a0<\/em>through\u00a0The Wolf Among Us\u00a0<\/em>both being huge hits for the company. The team also built a cult-hit in\u00a0Tales of the Borderlands<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>which told a separate, narrative-driven side-story\u00a0based within the\u00a0Borderlands\u00a0<\/em>universe.<\/p>\n

It appears the\u00a0latter could be getting a new lease of life very soon, with\u00a0Gematsu reporting that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of\u00a0Tales of the Borderlands<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>were rated by\u00a0British\u00a0certification site PEGI last December. Strangely, nothing has been said about a potential remaster since, although ratings usually dictate that a game is on its way sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Much like with the original release, the game managed to earn itself an 18 rating in the UK, with PEGI citing violence and bad language as the two core pillars of its reasoning. Regardless, it seems 2K and Gearbox could announce the game in the coming weeks, perhaps offering it as a free upgrade to those who already own the game. Although the original Telltale team is no longer together, its games have gotten updated\u00a0re-releases before, with\u00a0Telltale’s Batman\u00a0<\/em>receiving\u00a0a remastered bundle at the tail-end of 2019 that packaged together the game and its sequel,\u00a0The Enemy Within,\u00a0<\/em>alongside a new black and white “Shadows Mode.” Meanwhile,\u00a0each of\u00a0The Walking Dead’s\u00a0<\/em>four seasons<\/a> as well as its Michonne spin-off were also released\u00a0together as part of\u00a0a Definitive\u00a0Series bundle in 2019.<\/p>\n
