New screenshots of\u00a0Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Town\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>have surfaced online, showing more extensive character customization tools than what has been seen in past\u00a0Harvest Moon\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Story of Seasons<\/em> games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Older\u00a0Story of Seasons\u00a0<\/em>titles, including ones under the original name\u00a0Harvest Moon<\/em>, typically only allowed players to play as a preset character or choose from a couple of preset options. In\u00a0Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town<\/em><\/a>, for example, players can pick from either the blonde Claire or the brunette-haired Naomi as the only two female options. Now, however, it looks like\u00a0Story of Seasons\u00a0<\/em>has heard and implemented fan requests of more personalized character creation.<\/p>\n

Based on some surfaced screenshots, players will have many more options than ever seen before. In\u00a0Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town<\/em><\/a>, players will be able to customize skin color, eye color (including heterochromia eyes), hair color with both natural and unnatural hues, hair cuts, and clothing.<\/p>\n

Players will also be able to change their hair color later on in\u00a0Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town<\/em> by visiting a hair salon. Similarly, players can purchase a variety of clothing styles, such as winter clothing for the cold seasons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s currently unclear as to how this will affect\u00a0the protagonist’s children. In some past titles, children would look like the Story of Seasons\u00a0<\/em>spouse<\/a>, and in others like the player character. But it’s not yet known if the customized features will influence the child’s appearance in\u00a0Story of Seasons: PoOT.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
