Once it begins, players will have until January 24 at 8:00 PM local time to complete it.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key parts of the Hoenn Celebration Event is the Hoenn Collection Challenge. This challenge will require <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-go\/\">Pokemon GO<\/a><\/em> players to catch specific Hoenn Pokemon before the end of the event in order to win a special reward.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-get-revives\/\">Pokemon GO: How to Get Revives<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In order to complete this special event objective, there will be nine different Pokemon that players will need to collect. Pokemon caught before the event begins will not count toward the Hoenn Collection Challenge.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static2.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Pokemon-TCG-Torchic-Card-Art.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Every player will have the same nine Pokemon they will be needing to collect. They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Treeko<\/li>\n<li>Torchic<\/li>\n<li>Mudkip<\/li>\n<li>Nincada<\/li>\n<li>Nosepass<\/li>\n<li>Aron<\/li>\n<li>Plusle<\/li>\n<li>Minun<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-bagon-shiny-model\/\">Bagon<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Luckily, the majority of these Pokemon can be found among the boosted Hoenn Pokemon spawn rates. The Pokemon with higher spawn rates that need to be caught for the challenge are <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-treecko-torchic-mudkip\/\">Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip<\/a>, Nosepass, and Aron. What&#8217;s even better is that each of these required Pokemon have the chance to appear as a shiny except for Nosepass.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these Pokemon for the challenge can also be found as 1-Star Raid Bosses during the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-hoenn-celebration-event-announcement\/\">Hoenn Celebration Event<\/a>. These Pokemon are Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip, Aron, and Bagon. None of the other raid Pokemon are required for this challenge.\u00a05km eggs received during this event also have the chance to give players one of the Pokemon needed for the challenge. These Pokemon are Aron and Bagon,\u00a0but they are not guaranteed. This is because there are a few other Hoenn Pokemon that aren&#8217;t part of the challenge that can hatch from these eggs.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also include special field research tasks that players can get by spinning PokeStops during the event&#8217;s duration. Different field research tasks have different rewards, but the most important ones are the tasks that give encounters as rewards. The possible encounters that help with the Hoenn Collection Challenge are Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip, Aron, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/pokemon-pikachu-clones-ranked\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Plusle, and Minun<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The only Pokemon required with an unknown way of finding it is Nincada. Once the event begins, however, its method of capture will likely be revealed to those who want to complete the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Once players complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-hoenn-celebration-raid-boss-list\/\">Hoenn Collection Challenge<\/a>, they will get their reward.
