The next major exclusive release for the Xbox platform and one of the biggest game releases of 2021 yet will be The Medium<\/em><\/strong>. The third-person horror game officially launches January 28\u00a0on Xbox Series X\/S as a next-gen console exclusive.\u00a0But while The Medium<\/em><\/a>‘s console release has been a major focus due to its exclusivity, it’s also a highly anticipated PC release. With that in mind, developer Bloober Team is now ready to share The Medium<\/em>‘s PC specifications with everyone.<\/p>\n

Bloober Team<\/a> has even gone beyond expectations to provide seven different tiers of recommended PC requirements, just so PC gamers know their hardware potential. Minimum and recommended requirements are obvious inclusions, but Bloober Team also includes High and Ultra recommended specifications. Following that, Bloober Team adds three more PC requirements, one for Minimum, Recommended, and High ray tracing options.<\/p>\n

To start, The Medium<\/em>‘s minimum requirements target 1080p resolution and 30 frames-per-second. The requirements for this include an Nvidia GTX 1650 Super\/GTX 1040 or AMD R9 390X graphics card, an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, and 8GB of memory. The recommended specifications, which also target 1080p and 30fps but at a medium graphics preset, step up to a GTX 1660 Super or AMD RX 54600XT graphics card, i5 9600 or Ryzen 7 3700 X CPU<\/a>, and 16 GB of memory.<\/p>\n

The High and Ultra options are respectively designed to target 1440p and 4K resolution<\/a>. Both are also listed as targeting 30fps, meaning there are no specifications listed for 60fps or higher frame rates. High lists either an RTX 2060 Super or AMD 5700 XT graphics card, as well as a i5-9600 or Ryzen 7 3700 X CPU. Ultra lists either an RTX 3080\/RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6800 graphics card with either an i5-9700 or Ryzen 7 3700 X CPU. Both ask for 16GB of memory.<\/p>\n

As for the ray tracing-focused requirements, they range in asking for similar hardware to both the high and ultra settings options with the RT High option asking for a hefty Nvidia RTX 3080<\/a> or AMD RX 6800 XT graphics card. Needless to say, for anyone wanting to run ray tracing in The Medium<\/em>, they’ll need PC hardware released in the past few years.<\/p>\n

The two consistent aspects of The Medium<\/em>‘s PC requirements<\/a> are Windows 10 64-bit with DX11 support and 50GB of storage space. Bloober Team recommends an SSD in all profiles, but lists an HDD as adequate for minimum specifications. Suffice to say, Bloober Team is going to have some impressive visual options for those playing The Medium<\/em> on PC to choose from.<\/p>\n
