A brand new\u00a0Fortnite\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>challenge instructs players to defeat Predator, and those that do will be rewarded with a unique skin that is modeled after the iconic extraterrestrial species.\u00a0Before fans can defeat Predator in\u00a0Fortnite<\/em><\/a>, though, they must first locate it, and that can prove somewhat challenging. For those players that may be stuck trying to find\u00a0this new boss, this guide will cover its general location and provide some tips on how to bring it down.<\/p>\n

To begin, Predator can be found roaming around Stealthy Stronghold, a named location at the northwest corner of the map. Notably, this area is also home to the\u00a0mysterious pod in\u00a0Fortnite<\/em><\/a>, which players can visit in order to unlock the Predator Banner Icon, and that craft can serve as a good starting point for those fans that are hunting for the boss. That said, Predator is not always right next to its ship, and a more extensive search of Stealthy Stronghold may be required.<\/p>\n

It is also worth mentioning that Predator has cloaking technology, which means that it is not always extremely easy to see it. Players can combat this somewhat by turning on Visualize Sound Effects in settings, as that will attach a visual to the boss’s footsteps, though that is not strictly necessary. Indeed, fans that spend just a bit of time at the relevant\u00a0Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>location<\/a>\u00a0should encounter Predator quite easily, and they will be free to dispatch it from there.<\/p>\n

With respect to how to approach the actual battle with Predator in Fortnite<\/em><\/a>, enlisting the assistance of a Squad is advisable.\u00a0While it is certainly possible to bring down the boss without any help, solo players will need to put more time into collecting suitable gear and healing items than those that work with a team, and the fight itself can feel slightly tedious. That said, fans that insist on going it alone can make things quite a bit easier by waiting for another player to engage Predator and then jumping in when it is weakened.<\/p>\n

As previously mentioned, the\u00a0big prize for defeating this new\u00a0Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>boss<\/a>\u00a0is the Predator skin, but it is not the only reason to take it down. More specifically, the boss will drop its Cloaking Device upon elimination, and this item grants temporary invisibility. While the limited availability of this new Mythic item means that a player will not be able to get it in everyone of their matches, fans are sure to enjoy the Cloaking Device in\u00a0Fortnite<\/em><\/a>\u00a0when they can get their hands on it.<\/p>\n
