Skyrim<\/em> will be ten years old in November, and though it has maintained a strong community\u00a0over the last decade, many fans are becoming increasingly concerned that the lack of news about The Elder Scrolls 6. <\/em>Ultimately, it’s clear this wait is far from over, though some have expressed worry that a recently revealed game may have extended that wait.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Bethesda made an announcement that\u00a0an Indiana Jones<\/em><\/strong> title in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games is in development. Fortunately, there are good reasons that\u00a0gamers waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6<\/em> should not worry about the upcoming Indiana Jones<\/em><\/a> game.<\/p>\n

Bethesda Game Studios is currently working on two projects, Starfield<\/em> and The Elder Scrolls 6<\/em>. Starfield<\/em> is a new space-set RPG set for release some time in the next few years, with The Elder Scrolls 6<\/em> only due for release after that. That makes it likely that fans of the franchise still have several more years to wait for the next Elder Scrolls<\/em>, though considering the recent buggy release of Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/a>, another hugely anticipated open-world RPG, many fans may be more willing to wait than before.<\/p>\n

While Bethesda Game Studios is working on those two projects, it\u2019s Bethesda Softworks which will be involved in the Indiana Jones<\/em> project, the publisher of The Elder Scrolls<\/em> but also other series like Arkane\u2019s Dishonored<\/em><\/a>. The new Indiana Jones<\/em> game will be developed by MachineGames, who have developed the new Wolfenstein<\/em> games for Bethesda Softworks since 2014’s The New Order<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In theory, this means that the development of the new Indiana Jones game should not interrupt the development of Starfield<\/em><\/a> or The Elder Scrolls 6<\/em>. However, there has been one point of concern for Bethesda fans \u2013 Todd Howard, Bethesda Game Studios\u2019 director, will also be an executive producer on MachineGames\u2019 Indiana Jones<\/em> title.\u00a0Pete Hines<\/a>, head of marketing at Bethesda Game Studios, addressed concerns in a tweet on the day the Indiana Jones<\/em> project was announced:<\/p>\n
