In a recent video, he approaches the controversial choice that Activision made regarding player information. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/call-of-duty-warzone\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em><\/a> fans have loudly stated their opinion, and now the streaming pro is joining in.<\/p>\n<p>Since its\u00a0launch, <em>Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>has undergone some major changes to how stats and leaderboards work. Activision made the decision to change all player stats to private after a third-party app starting causing problems among the community. Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-nickmercs-mac-10-more-op-guide\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>pro NICKMERCS<\/a>\u00a0said\u00a0he believes the decision will cause more problems than it will fix.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-tommey-pacesetter-hacking\/\">Call of Duty: Warzone Streamer Pacesetter Accused of Hacking<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In his video, NICKMERCS\u00a0explains why he believes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/activision-hides-cod-stats-breaks-third-party-warzone-apps\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Activision&#8217;s change to <em>Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em><\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i>is not a good thing. He suggests\u00a0that sites tracking K\/D ratios and player stats were also being used to check for cheaters, and now those sites are not usable. Sites like CoDTracker are now blatantly ineffective as they cannot accurately measure stats in <em>Warzone. <\/em>Going through a list, NICKMERCS points out that players\u00a0will not be able to check out if their enemy is cheating and have no way to spot reverse-boosting, which removes accountability from the players.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G_LibY0ycrM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;width:480;height:360;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There are a lot of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-gulag-huskkers-one-hand\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>streamers<\/a>, fans, and community members who believe the decision should\u00a0be reversed. NICKMERCS is among those who liked being able to hold other players accountable, and now without the player data there is no way to do that.<\/p>\n<p>Activision has not commented on whether this is a temporary change, but many fans believe it could be a permanent adjustment. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-warzone-streamers-sbmm-cheat\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>continues to battle cheating<\/a> and hacking players, and Activision&#8217;s decision may have inadvertently disarmed the community. Now, players will queue into games without any way to detect if the enemy was, in fact, cheating during their last interaction.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-warzone-operator-challenges\/\"><em>Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>community is watching<\/a> Activision for any explanation or comment. NICKMERCS and several other content creators have taken an interest in the issue, which may push the problem past community speculation and into a much larger view.
