Relic Entertainment, long time developer of the\u00a0Company Of Heroes<\/em><\/strong> franchise, has gone above and beyond in releasing game improvements many years after the fact.<\/p>\n

Arriving a staggering 7 years after release,\u00a0Company Of Heroes 2<\/em><\/a> is getting massive game updates and a completely graphical overhaul. The developers took to the company website to chronicle all of the impressive changes and upgrades that are now live for the enduring World War 2 real time strategy game.<\/p>\n

The 64 Bit Update, enhances the graphics and performance from the original 32 bit version, now known as Legacy Mode. It also touts greater overall game stability for gamers and impressively, enables crossplay between several PC platforms and launchers. Gamers of Steam, Microsoft Game Pass<\/a> and Windows store users should now be able to join the fight together, regardless of their PC gaming service of choice.<\/p>\n

Originally releasing in June of 2013, itself a sequel to a franchise that started in 2006,\u00a0Company Of Heroes 2<\/em> has managed to attract and keep RTS enthusiasts and PC gamers enthralled for years.\u00a0 Set primarily on the eastern front of the World War 2, players spend most of the gameplay as the\u00a0Soviet\u00a0Red Army through several major conflicts,\u00a0from\u00a0Operation Barbarossa\u00a0to the\u00a0Battle of Berlin.\u00a0Sitting at a positive 80 on Metacritic, both critics and fans seem to review the game<\/a> in a positive light.<\/p>\n

Relic Entertainment<\/a> deserves acclaim and attention for not only creating a compelling PC game, but continuously upgrading and improving it 7 years later. It will be interesting to see if these updates and upgrades can both attract both new soldiers, and tempt lapsed fans to join the battle once more.<\/p>\n
