IO Interactive’s Hitman 3<\/strong><\/em> launched on January 20, bringing fans the highly anticipated conclusion to its World of Assassination trilogy. While Hitman 3<\/em> has suffered server issues<\/a>, it seems those come as a result of high traffic garnered by the game’s success, as this was the biggest digital launch in the franchise’s history according to IO Interactive.<\/p>\n

This latest entry in the\u00a0popular stealth-based series chronicling Agent 47’s assassination attempts across the globe has been well-received by critics and fans in spite of its technical issues, and already a decent community is building up around the game. One player has already managed to speedrun Hitman 3<\/em>‘s first level in just 17 seconds<\/a>, and popular streamer Dr Disrespect went so far as to wear a bald cap when he began playing in solidarity with the titular barcoded hitman.<\/p>\n

Hitman 3<\/em><\/a>‘s sales success thus far, as well as a collection of its positive review scores, was shared by IO Interactive’s official Twitter account today. The developer does not specify how much the game has sold since launch, but its safe to assume that if the number is as high as the tweet suggests, it will likely be paraded out sometime in the near future to help promote the game.<\/p>\n
