Whether it&#8217;s a unique version of a game or a limited edition controller, having a developer offer up some free goodies as extras can really make a person&#8217;s day and it doesn&#8217;t harm the developer&#8217;s reputation either. No more was this true than for one fan of Bloober Team&#8217;s new game <strong><em>The Medium<\/em><\/strong> who recently took to Twitter to express their joy.<\/p>\n<p>User and Twitch streamer Stallion posted a tweet on Friday which included an image of an impressive looking Xbox Series custom controller from the creator of the hotly-anticipated horror game <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/the-medium\/\"><em>The Medium<\/em><\/a>\u00a0as well as download codes for the game. Stallion understandably was grateful, thanking the team for its generosity. The game&#8217;s official Twitter account even replied to him, adding &#8220;may it serve you well in both realities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-medium-live-action-trailer\/\">The Medium Gets a New Live Action Trailer<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>The Medium<\/em> is due for release on January 28 and is touted as this gaming generation&#8217;s <em>Silent Hill<\/em>, especially given the last game in the series was released more than eight years ago and the tragic loss of <em>P.T.<\/em> has left a huge hold in the hearts of fans. Even with games such as <em>Visage<\/em> and <em>Allison Road<\/em> (also cancelled) taking cues from the called off Kojima\/del Toro, this could still pave the way for Bloober Team to step in and fill a <em>Silent Hill<\/em>-esque gap that&#8217;s been sorely missed. They even hired <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-medium-xbox-series-x-trailer-silent-hill-bloober-team\/\"><em>Silent Hill<\/em> composer Akira Yamaoka<\/a> to do the music.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Stallion83\/status\/1352427608500301825\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Bloober Team is certainly no stranger to horror. Its previous titles, such as <em>Layers of Fear<\/em> and <em>Observer<\/em>, are considered huge successes and have made the company a household name in the genre. <em>The Medium<\/em> is on every horror gamers lips as the developer teases live-action trailers and even a behind-the-scenes video just ahead of its release. With its macabre imagery and unique story that&#8217;s set in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/the-medium-preview-xbox-bloober-silent-hill-akira-yamaoka-new-game\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two realities in which players solve puzzles in each<\/a>, it&#8217;s not hard to see why it&#8217;s on a lot of people&#8217;s gaming radars.<\/p>\n<p>It seems the Twitter user receiving the custom Xbox controller will only aid in hyping up the game right until it&#8217;s launched at the end of next week.
