Players quickly realized that while it is fairly easy to gain levels when first starting out in the game, levels 30 to 40 became a slog. However, back in November\u00a0of 2020,\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em> announced that the game would be raising its level cap form 40 to 50 and adding new ways for players to gain XP in the following month, and it appears\u00a0that one players has already become the first in the world to reach the newest level cap.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-johto-celebration-event\/\">Pokemon GO Announces Johto Celebration Event<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Over on Twitter earlier today, dedicated\u00a0Australian\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em> player FleeceKing posted screenshots showing that he had <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-reaching-level-50\/\">reached level 50 in <em>Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a>\u00a0while streaming it live on Twitch. In the tweet, FleeceKing posted a screenshot of the level up screen along with\u00a0the level 50 rewards, as well as a screenshot\u00a0of his trainer profile, displaying his level 50 account, showing that he has gained a total of 699,847,622 XP.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ItsFleeceKing\/status\/1353739047508709376\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Just minutes after FleeceKing had reached level 50 in\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em>, Lauren Bertoni, another Australian player, also managed to hit\u00a0level 50. As a reward for reaching level 50, the players\u00a0received a variety of in-game items as well as 2 variations of an exclusive level 50 jacket, and in order to get to\u00a0level 50, the players had to make 999 Excellent throws, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/catch-kyogre-groudon-pokemon-go-hoenn\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">catch a Legendary Pokemon<\/a> in their next 5 Legendary Pokemon encounters, and defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 3 times only using Pokemon with 2,500 CP or less. The swift completion of these\u00a0difficult tasks serve as a testament to the skill and dedication of both FleeceKing and Bertoni.<\/p>\n<p>Before\u00a0reaching level 50, FleeceKing had hit\u00a0level 48 just one day prior and managed to get to\u00a0level 49 rather quickly due to compensation for <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-fake-gyms-glitch\/\">a glitch in <em>Pokemon GO<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that failed to track his progress towards the next level. To hit level 50, the\u00a0dedicated\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em> player pulled an all-nighter with his mother, accompanied by &#8220;coffees, music, and determination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For quite some time now, FleeceKing has been regarded within the\u00a0<em>Pokemon GO<\/em> community as one of the game&#8217;s most dedicated players, so it may come as no surprise to some that he managed to become the first player in the world to celebrate such a monumental achievement.
