It began as a trading card game of shiny cardboard that turned into a worldwide phenomenon among numerous demographics and industries. The Pokemon Company currently has big plans for its silver anniversary.\u00a0It recently announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-25th-anniversary-music-program-katy-perry\/\">partnership with singer Katy Perry<\/a> by showing special cards collectors can get in unique packs.<\/p>\n<p>The re-printing of cards will bring nostalgia to the Pokemon community, even though it&#8217;s quite different than what was done for\u00a0its 20th anniversary in 2016. Game Freak announced the release of mythical Pokemon at various stores that gamers could get via codes. Releasing legendary and mythical Pokemon\u00a0was exciting, but <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-reveal-rumored-february\/\">rumblings of a new Pokemon remake<\/a> are swirling in\u00a0its 25th year.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/new-pokemon-snap-nintendo-switch-spin-off\/\">Pokemon\u00a0Spin-Offs That Should Come to the Nintendo Switch After New Pokemon Snap<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-diamond\/\"><em><strong>Pokemon\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Diamond<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-pearl\/\"><em><strong>Pokemon\u00a0Pearl<\/strong><\/em><\/a> news, a <em>Minecraft<\/em> player showed off an innate skill set and created a few levels the aforementioned RPG title inside the game. The username of this masterpiece is bubsy200 and while the project looks clean and polished, it&#8217;s not finished at this time.<\/p>\n<p>A video was posted of the <em>Minecraft\u00a0<\/em>world. It takes\u00a0viewers through several areas on the map. Pokemon Centers and Marts are seen, as well as signs for routes such as Route 202.\u00a0On January 25th, bubsy200 commented back to other Reddit users saying\u00a0they\u00a0aren&#8217;t ready to unveil a download link to the world but is offering the texture pack and mods if other creators want to try it themselves.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/pokemon\/comments\/l4qh4v\/work_in_progress_sinnoh_region_in_minecraft\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web2x&#038;context=3\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first instance of a <em>Pokemon\u00a0Diamond\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>fan-created mod. Another member of the community <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remakes-unreal-engine\/\">re-created Twinleaf Town and Route 201<\/a> inside the Unreal Engine. No game to date in the Pokemon universe was created using the Unreal Engine, even though a large member of the player base would celebrate that happening.<\/p>\n<p>The rumor of\u00a0<em>Diamond<\/em>\u00a0and<em> Pearl\u00a0<\/em>returning to current hardware was not the first instance of a Pokemon game coming out in 2021. A <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-switch-games-2021-zelda-metroid-fire-emblem-pokemon-diamond-pearl-remakes-splatoon\/\">leak of pertinent Nintendo information<\/a> was revealed on January 2, hinting at big releases like a new Zelda title and the rumored-Pokemon remake.<\/p>\n<p>Judging by past years, it&#8217;s logical to think that one will come out in the Spring or Fall of 2021. A new, or re-released title, has come out every year between 2016 and 2019. 2020 was the first year without a new Pok\u00e9mon title since 2015.
